MY21 Aussie Release Date

Reading through this thread with the newbies ordering their vehicles and the dealers knowing next to F/A is deja vu of back in '17 when they actually did know nothing. I had to shop dealers until i found one who had heard of a Stinger lol.

I am new here & have just put a deposit on a 2021 GT Stinger in Deep Chroma Blue with red interior. The dealer tells me it’s the only one of this combo on the next boat due 15/12. I will keep my fingers crossed that he is not full of crap.
You will probably all get a kick out of the fact that I am upgrading from my current car which is a 10 year old pink Barina Spark.

This is the combo I am thinking of, will you keep us updated on progress please and photos of course!

As I understand, Night Sky edition is only on remaining MY20 models and I thought this was the default interior (only option) for this edition... It does look nice but I would be too lazy to keep it clean

Yeah, it was exclusive to NS, just wondering if they were going to make it available for all of the 2021 facelift cars.

Another Central Coast member. There’s plenty of Stingers driving around the Coast but none on here that I’m aware of. How did you find Hiltons? When I was buying mine they were a bit pricey, I ended up buying in Newcastle. I’ll have to keep an eye out for the new model driving around.

My dealer was quoting $1,995 but I didn't bother haggling on that. I just haggled on the total driveway price. Ended up at $63.8K with tint and mats. I think there was room to squeeze more but I couldn't be bothered calling multiple dealers and wasting time. I ended up with a price I thought was fair.

Anyone planning on doing something about those new exhaust tips. It looks so silly with the big hole and small exhaust showing through or is it just me? Does it make sense to just cut off the small exhaust tips and install a new wider one from the muffler or should you remove the stainless chrome piece as well? I'm guessing there is also the risk of changing the sound of the exhaust as the bi-modal flap is right at the end of the muffler.

It's not ideal but I think you'll forget about it after a couple of days.. I won't be bothering doing anything as they look welded onto the tips.

My Dealer went through all different individual costs and I basically bluntly said who cares about all that, what's the bottom line and that was the basis of my negotiation. I don't recall dealer delivery being a line item, but my point stands, who cares... You got a fair drive away price.

I didn't want tint from dealer as I want darker than what they were prepared to put on for me. I did go for the GT floor mats and also the tray liner... Just hoping it's not a pathetic hard plastic liner, hoping it has a heavy duty rubberised finish. Figure if I waste a hundred dollars on it, then it's not the end of the world.

Dealer is fitting darkest legal tint for me - don't want any hassles.

Seems like great minds think alike - I also got the Ceramic Grey with red leather

Im guessing that as the exhaust is now bi-modal direct from the factory the actual tips protrude further into the outer chrome tips to reduce/eliminate any drone.
They then made the outer chrome tips larger so heat wouldn’t transfer from the inner tips to the outer tips which could cause the plastic diffuser to melt or catch fire.

It’s so ugly. I can’t work out what they were thinking with the wheels and exhaust tips. I’m gonna have to do something about it

There are others on here that got it cheaper apparently but I got quotes from Pennant Hills as well & they weren’t any cheaper. I added tow bar fitted, cargo mat & floor mats & it is $66164. I am happy with it especially if I get it mid December like they have promised.

Not a bad price considering PH wanted $66,290 for their Micro Blue with zero accessories.
