• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

MY21 Aussie Release Date

I wonder if the facelift has blind spot cameras? KIA Australia said the facelift gets new safety features but didn’t give any detail.

P.s., I hate the new wheels too!
I thought I read somewhere that the blind spot cameras were new and added and that the picture would appear in the centre of the instrument cluster.

Yeah the wheels will be the first thing to go on mine.

It's in french but you can translate in English. This is what I believe is coming to Australia. Me too have no idea what specs my stinger has . But I think it will be this one.

Mosty what you should get beside the fact that Europe are not getting the new rear diffuser and bimodal exhaust...

Blind spot display is a plus. Wonder if we'll get speed sign recognition.
From €63,190.....would you pay over $100k ???

It depends on what a C43 or M340i costs there. In Oz those are at least 55% more expensive than a Stinger which was an easy decision for me (not to mention the Stinger has a longer warranty and better reputation for customer support).

If this is directed to me in Canada Stinger top trim is 53kcad and can be had for 49kCAD. M340i is more like 70k CAD well equiped (maybe not all options) but can be had around 65k. Still thought to decide between Stinger and M340i even if difference is less than you guys. I would never ever pay 100k for a Stinger and also I am not affording any 100k cars right now anyway.

Based on my criteria / own personnal evaluation the Kia Stinger is 90% of what is an M340i, C43I and S5 while being 75% of the cost which makes it a great bargain (new for new). If leasing in Canada that is a different story because of forecasted depreciation of Stinger is high and there is no lease deals for KIA vs the German so leasing the German you get a better deal.

Not directed to anyone in particular.

I drove my brother’s S3(2017) and his new C43. I honestly don’t think either one of them is as fast as my RWD virtually stock Stinger for 0-60 mph.

The M340i cars are almost certainly faster but I am not so sure any of the other sedans are faster than a Stinger. I got 4.59 0-60 mph on Dragy without a rollout and only with drop in filters and the big mouth snorkels.

Spotted at Kia Dealership in Sydney. Definitely missing diamond quilted seats. Most new features are well known but quickly scanned the pdf ebulletin in the AU model - believe it said remote start. You can also select how high the tailgate will open up. Infotainment wasn't setup yet so couldn't get into any settings.

I dropped by PH Kia to take a closer look...it's a lovely car. Confirmed the following:
This one was built October
No blind spot warning
No heated rear seats
Info screen is very colourful and maps are way different in appearance as running new firmware.
Exhaust pipes extend nearly full length of tips (huge muffler)
Lower rear reflectors seemed a bit bigger
Different phone charging pad
AUX input has been deleted
Flameless rear view mirror

Drive away $66,290

Forgot to ask about speed sign detection and should have taken photo of maps.
Sales guy said most dealers should get one straight away but special orders could take 2-3 months.

No blind spot cameras is disappointing - that seems to be available everywhere else. But I must say I like the bigger navigation screen and how the plastic piece below the screen is now wrapped in what looks like leather and has light-coloured stitching.

It has blind spot cameras, they removed the blind spot DETECTION and replaced it with cameras that show up in the instrument cluster.

Sounds like a lot of salesman are unsure, that was the impression when I ordered mine.

They wouldnt remove a safety feature and not replace it with something. The car you are showing is really odd and missing things like the rear heated seats which i was told was included and the blind spot cameras which i was also told were included. I feel like that model car is not the top of the line one or maybe not for sale and just a demo car of something.

yeah this is definately a thing, they werent sure of what was included until they read the ebulletin about the car which all dealers should have now.

Not a demo and not registered and definitely a GT. Was told it only came in a few days ago. I asked about heated rear seats and there is no button to activate.

I read through the ebulletin with the salesperson at the same time. Didn't see rear heated seats mentioned in the bulletin as that was something I was looking for.
