What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

What a glorious tree (what a hellish leaf collecting job!:p).
Not my yard but love the tree. My yard is wayyyyy worse. My yard yields about 80 bags of leaves a year. Luckily I mulch them which gets me down to about 15 a year. Very time consuming. I probably inhale the equivalent of one bag a season as well . :p

Well nothing today, but I did get my Kia recall letter about the engine fires. Says no fix yet. Yippee. Was heading out the door so didn’t get to read the entire letter.

Well today I picked her up after getting the Compustar 4905S-Kit with Drone installed. Now I have the capability to remote start the car, get in and drive off. Not to mention the added benefit of using the app to make sure I have the car locked.

Nothing worse than in the summer getting to the office and thinking, "Did I remember to lock the car?". Then walking 10 minutes out of the building, across campus to the parking lot in 90+ degree heat in a shirt and tie only to find out I did. Problem solved now!

Cost was roughly $350 + Tax including the installation from Best Buy. Factory key is programmed for 3 presses of lock button to start car. Only oddity is once you remote start the car with the key fob, it seems like you have to use the fob to unlock the car. The button on the door handle does not unlock the car. Drone Mobile app is useful as you can lock, unlock and start the car in the app. Comes with 30 day trial of the app before needing a subscription. Hoping to find a Black Friday deal on the subscriptions plans.

The 2020 Stinger must be just a bot different than the 2019 as the installer had a difficult time getting it done on time and had to leave the car there overnight. Not a biggie for me as this is not my primary car.

After early round of golf.....Ceramic coated all wheels, calipers, front wheel well plastic and anything else I could reach while in there since the bottle won’t all be used. Only area left is the inside frame of the doors. Need to do that in next days or so before open bottle of ceramic starts to crystallize. Sorry about picture doesn’t want to stay in proper orientation.E05EF67C-FE0D-46EF-88FD-7764C7C674B8.jpeg

Changed the oil, not super exciting. The Fumoto valve makes it a breeze. Almost had a disaster with the oil dipstick though - not sure what I did but the thing got stuck REAL good and it took me almost 20 minutes to extract it. I'm pretty sure you cant run the engine with that in there so panic/shame was beginning to set in that I had murdered my car by checking the oil level.

I've never been able to get the dipstick to go in smoothly, I must be doing something wrong..

Best Buy has it listed for $600. How did you get down to $350? Do you have a receipt you can share for bargaining purposes?

I logged in and added it to my cart and let it sit there for a few days. Checked in each day to my cart and then BAM! Price dropped from $500 to $350. I'll see if I can get a screen shot of my bill for you and PM it as I did everything thru my BB app.

Glad you got the system installed for that price!

The system regularly drops in price just keep an eye out! Also make sure they have free installation at the time or it will be an additional $100 or so.

Finally installed my Mishimoto oil catch can and my Windbooster 4S.

Where did folks run the wire/mount their Windbooster?

Nice! This is how I have mine mounted with some sticky back Velcro and it's been great:

I've ordered that OCC, still on backorder I guess. Looks like a simple install, right? How long did you have to wait?
