looks way complicated.

I dont think it is needed to take out all these parts for downsprings

Nah, I didn’t go for the “short cut” method/tutorials I read about. Just pulled the knuckle and used a Branick strut compressor at a shop around the corner to swap coils.
Truly easier than trying to compress within the wheel well and wrestle the coilover out. Just have to purchase axle nuts ahead of time.
Service manual PDF for all the Tq specs.

The rears are easy any way you slice it. Hardest part was getting the LCA in place to put the bolt back in.

The car drives great. H&R gets a thumbs up.

I have the tools and experience to make it a simple, quick, safe job.

What did you do when you installed your coilovers and lowering springs?

It’s a type of scissor lift. Hawk can elaborate on type and brand.

What kind of jack is that?
It’s a good piece of equipment. These lifts are very heavy to move around - 130lbs a side. They are somewhat limited in their application too. The wide jacking points for the Stinger make this particular model too wide for most other cars. Some have made good use of the narrower 5000lb model. Probably a better move unless your other car is a Tesla. I kind of dread taking them out and setting them up sometimes. I was daydreaming fabbing up aluminum ones on Saturday and swapping over the mechanicals.

I picked it up during a sale. I got a better deal when I called vs an email response and received a military discount as well. Professional company to deal with and arrived via lift gate freight.

I think if you have the floor space a Danmar Maxjax is more versatile and gives you more space to move under the car. My old concrete garage floor wouldn’t support the anchoring system unfortunately.

Yeah a bit goofy I know, but when you’re 51 you try to hold on to your childhood934B1518-9F18-48FB-9C27-03AAD03CF467.webp9120EF76-A2C1-4DA9-892F-FC6B288E2F9D.webp

I bought an extra set of GT2 staggered wheels and tires so I could do tire rotations using four of the front wheels and tires. Had the Michelin tires dismounted from the four rear wheels so I can put a set of winter tires on them. Thinking about going with the Continental DSW06 tires but probably do 235 instead of 255 so I don't have to worry about rubbing in the front.

Today I blacked out the front wheels and did my tire rotation. Hoping I can get more use out of tires being able to do full rotations now.
