Those saying brake torque vectoring is not useful for a car with a diff do not understand how differentials work. Torsen and clutch pack diffs put a multiple of the the lowest torque to the opposite wheel. So if one wheel is slipping, torque is zero, and the diff multiplies some torque by zero for the other axle. Since zero times any number is zero, no torque is sent to the wheel with grip. Applying brake to the slipping wheel makes the torque a non-zero value, and therefore torque can be applied to the wheel with grip. Engineering explained on YouTube has a good video.
