Catless will always run into issues. Almost everyone put back the factory primary cats, or is using an HFC setup of some sort.

@Yusha heres a snapshot of the order - looks like that item is no longer active but it also didn't show the AK logo which I actually prefer without, order took 27 days from Shenzhen through HK my old stomping ground and then onto the US/Canada by DHL.

Props to Jaymorz for his black tips they looks great also!

So i installed my mbrp exhaust the other day and it all went well, but im now running into minor issues. So i had my tail pipes aligned so that they sat inside the stock tip openings, however after readjusting the clamps and exhaust 2 more times after installation, even buying extra horseshoe shaped clamps. My exhaust keeps shifting and the tailpipes keep ending up sitting on the stock tip openings. Would This have any negative effects other then extra drone? Also if anyone had any advice on what else i could try, it would be greatly appreciated.

can you post a picture of the your pipes, something must not be fasten enough

That's how I've been running mine for the last 8 months or so and I have no complaints

Just had mine installed 2 weeks ago, stock tips, no tailpipe extensions.

I've driven highways, country roads, mountain roads and I have no complaints. I'm happy with the purchase and sound levels.

I do agree, you'll have a drone just above 2k RPM... but to me, it's not loud. Especially with windows down or music playing.

I've owned many V8's with open exhaust, Flowmasters, Borla, glass packs, etc., that were all loud and deafening.

Haven't heard any crackles or raspy sounds yet. I've put 300 miles on it.

To me, the drone effect seems to be due to the large open hatch and trunk space. Almost like a reverb effect coming off the large glass window.

It's still a great, affordable exhaust if you want better sound during acceleration, while adding some ponies...

Today I have discovered the built in sport+ mode of the mbrp when removing the trunk shelf..even better with windows down

I used to have a silencer that I could install ant anytime inside the tip when that was on a single 3" exhaust. This one ill have to swap the stock exhaust on and off whi h might take a little longer lol. No drama with the exhaust just a little boomy for rear seats I think, eco mode does help though.

Old school solenoid

that or fold the seats down. you get so much more sound in the cabin. I enjoy it

I sort of have the same issue. Aftermarket Akra tips resting on the diffuser in certain spots. Can't get aligned properly. I don't have any drone whatsoever though.
My main worry is the rear diffuser melting or burning after either spirited driving or really long highway runs

One of my favorite designs and very good customer service.

Enjoy.

This exhaust is a lot more quiet than I thought it would be. Could almost be a stock exhaust sport mode on a performance car. No drone at all with my tips though, which is nice. I think it fits the Grand Touring profile I was looking for, but man it is definitely not a loud exhaust, even under full throttle.

Secondary cat replacement sounds like crap?

Also, I had to replace the rear exhaust clamps. The one that came with the exhaust didn't compress the pipe enough to make a tight seal between muffler and mid pipe. I ran to the auto parts store and got a dinky 2.5 inch clamp that worked much better.

I have the catless secondaries. Sounds louder and really loud on cold starts. It also gives you burbles on deceleration.

The clamps they provide suck. I torqued the shit out of mine and used an exhaust sealer to get it to finally stop leaking.

Hey recently joined the club (cheers @Gtecko ) with the mbrp amd went with the oval tips from aliexpress 63MM-105MM Matt

They look great and don't sound too raspy thankfully..stock downpipe etc. So I'm happy there.

I'm still getting used to 'auto' transmission low rpm (1-2.5k) exhaust noise kinda reminds me of stupid exhausts on crappy cars. I do really enjoy the mbrp went getting on it and it has a great character and glad it's not over the top. I think the downpipe is the issue as others have said it def more aggressive in other cars I've done. This is the first performance car without a manual so I think I just have to get over it lol

One think of the tips is internal vs external diameter as the shop doing the install had to fab something up and weld them on as the diameter were the same as the exhaust..I'll take a pic in the morning. Helps i think with drone not rasp and I like the black look, makes the rear diffuser look sexy!
Do you have a link for those tips? Matte black, correct? Having a difficult time finding anything but chrome or carbon fiber. Was going to order chrome and have them powdercoated if I couldn't find them in black.

Need some insight. My MBRP SS exhaust are about to arrive and I'm probably going to install it next week. But a friend of mine who's more into cars told me that any exhaust modification that I do would need a custom tune with it; he also said, without a tune the motor is going to blow. I tried to research on this but can't find any claims on this at all and that catback exhaust shouldn't affect the ECU or the aspiration of the car. Anyone more knowledgable can give me more insight on this?

Thanks

LOL, that's funny! You do not need a tune! I put the same system in a few months ago, so have 1000's of other Stinger owners. You'll be fine.

Only thing you'd need a tune for is catless or Hi-flow primaries.
