How much are you willing to pay? (lease)

My lease was almost up to, but I wasnt going to overpay for a Kia. I wasnt going to overpay for a Giulia. I wasnt going to overpay for a G80 Sport. So I ended up with a Red Sport. :)

You paid sticker price?!?! OUCH!!

Enjoy your ride!! :)
Meh, I considered a Red Sport, but no Android auto + no ventilated seats was a no go. You can get such a great price on them for a reason. Nice car overall though.

My partner has a 2018 q50 Redsport AWD and my stinger keeps up with him, after 100mph he is literally 6-12 inches in the lead, I'm so impressed with my stinger. And yeah. He loves the Android auto and cooled seats I have.

The MSRP isn’t what I paid considering there’s a $7200 rebate (duh), that being said I got more $ shaved also (which if you understood a lease you’d be able to figure out by yourself), and I wanted a Stinger, I wasn’t looking for the best deal I could find on anything else. BTW I wouldn’t take a Red Sport for free but enjoy your ride too.

WAIT!! So $52K-7200 is $45K minus whatever that $ shaved is. DAMN!! GOOD DEAL!!!! lol

Enjoy your ride!! :)

I agree, the Stinger is better equipped. I wish the Red Sport has Android Auto and Ventilated seats. But like I said not going to overpay for it. If my lease was up 6 months later. I would definitely have gotten the Stinger GT2 like at $450 a month.

Here’s a thought: why don’t you saunter down to your local Kia dealer checkbook in hand (to show you’re serious) and make your best deal to prove that I’m an idiot, I’ll be here waiting to see how you made out.

Barry I'm with you.

I've just about given up trying to help people in the lease/finance threads because everyone has their own perceptions and values when it comes to their hard earned money.

I just let them figure it out on their own now. So long as their happy then who cares.

I did my homework (mostly thanks to this site) and worked out the best deal I could considering the circumstances, I'm pleased with the final numbers...I don't need someone coming in here tossing brickbats because he couldn't care less if he got a Stinger and there were better deals for different vehicles elsewhere. I'm sorry I got cheesed but that's troll behavior to me, if you don't have something nice to say...

I hear ya. If you wanted the best lease deal you could get - you could have waited a few months. You're certainly not the first person to pay more for a shiny new object. :)

Theres always an interesting dynamic when people can lob opinions around virtually anonymously , there is a great core of members here that try very hard to provide objective and helpful input and then there are the few that really dont understand how to be decent , respectful and diplomatic .......................

BTW I turned in my Cadenza with 18,000 miles on the odo (I paid for 36,000), I had to stand on line at my local PO for over an hour (no joke, it was unreal) in order to pick up my certified final inspection report. There were $315 in charges for excessive damage (a wheel scuff and a few small bumper dings), I thought the car was in very good condition considering it was on the streets of NY for 3 years so I called today to discuss it. When I turned in my Optima 3 years prior it was also under miles and in decent condition and I didn't get charged, figured I shouldn't here, either. They looked up my account and said it was closed at zero, I'm wondering if a) the low mileage might have caused them to look the other way, or b) perhaps the fact I leased another Kia (my third) might have been the deciding factor. In any event I think they did the right thing so props to them.

Dealer told me that if you get another Kia they'll usually let you slide on some stuff because you're a loyal Kia customer.

Just thought I would follow up, I ended going to another dealer and back to the first one. The new deal is 500$ for 36 months, instead of 48. This is great, and I cannot believe that was even on the table before.
I am exited and will be picking up a black gt1 tomorrow :)

gt1 awd
I did have cash down 2k and equity in my trade in 900

Just so I'm clear on the numbers, you basically put $2,900 into the deal for a $500/mo payment that includes taxes, fees, etc? I'm asking as that's about what I'm expecting to see a GT1 go for ($2,900/36 = $80.55) + $500 = $580/mo payment out the door. I'm handing over one of our cars to my oldest in May so looking for a GT1 deal, sub-$600 by then.
