• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Australia-Specific Kia Stinger Discussion

I am looking at getting the front & rear KIA badges overlaid,,, not to comfortable with trying to remove existing ones.
Also doing the four hubs. This should confuse people.
What is the most favorite badge you guys have chosen

No not driving around unplugged the drone was too much, it made the steering wheel and centre console vibrate. Checking out some of the Borla's on you tube but still unsure, I really want to hear it in person.Hoping someone my have it on one of our car meets sometime.
Really don't want a ghastly drone so I still may keep the Bimodal. After all it has the seven year warranty and like hubby keeps advising " it was the one exhaust built specifically for the Stinger "

I chose the " K " badge and hub cap overlays from Korean Auto Imports and chrome Stinger Script and 3.3T badge from the Stinger Store here on the forum.

if it could stop the possible chips one gets then I may have gone for it

this is a myth, ceramic coatings in no way shape or form stop paint chipping. The only way to protect yourself from chipping is PPF, and that’s not guaranteed either.

Also the main reason ceramic coatings cost a lot is because they do a paint correction first, even though what they quoted you was excessive. You can when new, if your happy with the current condition of your paint, do a proper clean and decontamination and apply a ceramic coating yourself for a few hundred.

Just another thing about those map updates. Even though they are the current maps, it is still a year behind so I find some of the info including speed limits are sometimes wrong. So much better to use Waze on your Apple/Android carplay. More up to date and has the locations of speed cameras. Just a thought.

Yes, I am finding that the quoted speed limit in the HUD is unreliable, quite a few times the road signs are lower so perhaps an immediate, "correct as of now" is seriously needed so we Stingers don,t break the law and get fined - lose of demerit points.
Maybe our defense is "The Stinger did it"

Yes we need the road sign recognition ability of some cars. The problem with only updating the sat nav once a year is that it gets out of date very quickly with all the roadworks and changes that occur in most metro areas.

In some cases it's years out of date even after an update.

Hi I am new here so be gentle . Just got my Stinger GT almost 2 weeks ago and very happy with it and the new "E" badges and wheel caps. I already had a few puzzled looks and a couple of guys walking around the car wondering what car it is.
Yesterday (just before the rain started) gave the car a good wash and one thing that I found strange is that the wipers hit the bonnet if you try to lift them......but apart from that all good so far.

G’day mate welcome to the forums. Get used to the looks and random strangers complimenting you on it. Here’s some info on changing your wipers.

There is every chance you’ll chip your paint if you pull them forward like you’re accustomed to.

To lift the wipers, switch car off, wait a moment and push wiper lever up and they will go to the up position, I put them in this pos when I wash the car.

Welcome to the forum and congrats tardotz. Those wipers are a trap for newbies. Be careful.
