The speed symbol changes colour both in heads up and screen nav to a darker red when over limit ok

Yes, Just got my new Stinger GT.
I am in WA and there are always new developments going up all the time which necessitates new roads so I am looking at the specs of the car and came across the following which indicates that the 10years Mapcare is free and comes with the purchase. How do we get the updates I am wondering?.

Satellite navigation multimedia system with 10 years traffic information (SUNA™) & 10 years MapCare

There's a thread in the AUS section but I can't give you a link to it ATM. It's an easy DIY after you successfully register your VIN.

As far as I'm aware, when you take it in for a service you can ask for the map updates, but I guess you could ring and pop in for it anytime. Iv'e got to get mine updated at the next service ( hasn't been done yet, got the car last year )

Firstly welcome Starman and congrats on your new Stinger. Post some pics when you can. Whereabouts are you in WA. That is the latest map update so you are all current. This years update has yet to be released in Australia. I downloaded the Hyundai/Kia Map update app and did the update myself. You just take the SD card out of the car and put in your PC. Easy as pie. There is a thread on here explaining it better.

Just another thing about those map updates. Even though they are the current maps, it is still a year behind so I find some of the info including speed limits are sometimes wrong. So much better to use Waze on your Apple/Android carplay. More up to date and has the locations of speed cameras. Just a thought.

I get the dealer to do the updates every service which works out once a year for me. Thet tried to call my bluff and said it costs, i told the NO it doesn't. @ShannonC
Might be able to tell you what to download if you do it yourself.

Thats not far away, did you buy your Stinger from new?.
Wow, lots of mods I see, I was thinking of the Bi modial exhaust but I just want a really quiet journey. Did you get the ceramic coating done professionally - expensive? I got quoted around $2000 for a coating & other stuff at Rockingham Kia - if it could stop the possible chips one gets then I may have gone for it.
I got this similar coating Mothers CMX and did it myself for $50 = enough for at least 4 coats.

Seems like there is a kinda bubble around here where we love Stingers.
Yep, Only one color for me RED and it does go faster!!!

Just been checking out You Tube, down pipes I'm guessing are on the exhaust tip end of the exhaust system ? ( I haven't looked under my car anyway ) I gather that down pipes can help to minimise drone.
why do some people mix the pipes ? ie have a Borla catback exhaust with Ark downpipes ? instead of Borla down pipes, is it because they all resonate differing sounds ?

Wrong end! They attach to exhaust manifold.

Are you looking for more sound out of Sonic’s exhaust Flame. Are you still driving around unplugged??
