Stinger JB4 Pure Hybrid Turbo Testing

I already called dibs on Torks Pure turbo hybrids when Tork goes big Turbo. Just sayin.

Soo, with ewg control here, essentially, the only thing left to make this a homerun option, is a good ecu tune I take it? How far away from that do we think we are? Im guessing od2 flashing is going to be quite a ways off yet to boot

I had read that force fed had been working on the trans of their test car, has there been any word on that? @Force-Fed Performance
 
The transmission holds well on big turbo cars.
Maybe because they don't do drag racing.

Honestly, almost all my 1/4 mile runs are no prep runs and races, where everybody has to run street tires. So even with a tune, and hybrids, I would not want to be launching on boost at all. Are the trans issues related to just launching hard, or more based around the sustianed increased torque period?

But if its not a 1/4 mile you really arn't running it! ;)
Stock turbo power around 500 hp non snipped holds up. I propably have close to a thousand LC launches.
 
I think the truth is they snipped, They beat the f*ck out of it and shit kaboomed.

Well. I guess the only thing im waiting for is a solid ecu tune for these things. Stock tunning just goes nutty with the turbos?

Just asking, Im almost debating having them on, for more reliable boost @20 psi with just the piggy and stock tune, while waiting to see what comes out for back end flashes, before trying to go for big boy 25psi numbers with a flashed ecu, and hopefully trans parts.

Or is that a stupid idea?

Personally, I'd wait not only for a good ECU flash/and or piggyback changes, but also a reliable fueling system upgrade path. As of right now, it seems that the only way to use the increased boost of larger turbos is to use race fuel and/or meth injection. The stock fuel system can't keep up, and tuning hasn't matured enough to not require crazy high octane.

If I went with bigger turbos, I'd want to be able to safely use pump gas with that higher boost.
 
I use wmi for any boost over stock. Local fuel sux
 
Larger fuel pump for Stingers are coming out right now and Tork has some pure turbos on the way to make a tune. He finally has the full damos file so if these will work well with our ECU he will figure it out.

Not gonna Lie I kinda like the TK turbos more, But still need numbers....
 
Larger fuel pump for Stingers are coming out right now and Tork has some pure turbos on the way to make a tune. He finally has the full damos file so if these will work well with our ECU he will figure it out.

Both. At the same time. Lol.

But for ethanol mixes, it definitely runs out of fuel first.
 
Any new news on the pure turbo experience? I'm interested side from lap3 17k upgrade kit.
