Stinger JB4 Pure Hybrid Turbo Testing

So for upgraded turbos, CPI will the recommended fueling solution? No additional lpfp needed for running even the 950cc injector?

For those on larger turbos and E85, yes CPI. For those on larger turbos and pump gas only, WMI is a better choice.

Ok, so people with OEM turbos and no access to E85, WMI is still the best solution, right?
What about OEM turbos WITH access to E85? That's the one I'm most interested in.

Take your pick. CPI and WMI will have similar power potential. CPI is probably going to be preferred as you never need to refill it. I'm running that now on our development car and on straight 91 octane I really miss the WMI. On E50, it's just as fast as it was on WMI, with no fuel pressure issues. :)

Awesome, that helps clear up my confusion. Thank you!

Any updates on the turbos?

I believe the turbos are for sale, they can be bought

^Correct.

The tuning solution, however, doesn't seem complete at this point - in my opinion. As in, specifically, I'd like to see a complete solution all in one, such as a flash tune OR the JB4 being able to do all the tuning needed to handle the bigger turbos - not both. Also, no WMI or race gas, or E85 mixtures to handle the extra boost or extra fueling... I wish there was a fueling solution available that could rely on the stock fuel system, with only using pump gas, even if it were in the form of CPI. I mean, why can't we just dial back the ignition timing a bit to compensate for the extra boost so we don't need crazy octane..

Again, the above is just my opinion, and I'm sure many others don't feel the same, which I totally respect. But maybe, just maybe, the above are some reasons why the hybrid turbo setup hasn't gained much popularity.

Tork is working on hybrid turbo tune this spring.
Tork current tune seems to make better use of octane than the piggies. On straight 92 i can run 21 psi and 16 degrees which is a top wmi tune for the piggies.
I added wmi but didn't do much if anything but also haven't cranked the tune up yet.

What about our trannies? Is there anything for those? I dont think they can handle the increased torque

Don't mid me, just sitting around waiting on port injection...

The stock fuel system is only good for about 500 hp volume wise. You could do hybrid turbos with a boost timing combo that works on pump gas but there is only enough fuel for around 500hp still. So need wmi, cpi or fuel system upgrades which people are working on.
I was a wmi first timer and reluctant but after doing it its not bad at all.

Now that we have EWG control on the JB4 end we'll have a lot more tuning flexibility for hybrids, although I still suggest a good back end flash map to start with when running them.

When do we figure tunes will be available? And I mean with out ripping the ecu out

Sold a dozen stage 2 tunes in a dozen hours. Not bad.

Payments will be made, I do not worry about that. However I don't know why he needs the cash in advance. $16K is not a big amount for well established companies. Maybe there is another purpose behind collecting funds.

I’m sure there is in my opinion he is paying another tuner to fin tune what he currently has. That would cost around 10K-15k. But again it’s just my opinion.

Because the damos isn't cheap and we're in the slow season. I know when I was tuning you would be slow Dec/Jan/Feb then hold onto your butts tax refund builds are coming.

I'm in line for some hybrid turbo love

I already called dibs on Torks Pure turbo hybrids when Tork goes big Turbo. Just sayin.
