What did you pay for your Kia Stinger?

Maybe things have changed, but I bought my GT2 3 months ago and paid $37k plus taxes (also in California) through the lease buyout. And I recall others paying about the same at the time (i.e. this wasn't an incredible unicorn deal).

$40.6k plus taxes for a GT1 doesn't seem right.

I don't know I haven't heard of anybody getting a deal like that around here. GT2 MSRP is 50,300 so 37k sounds like a fantastic deal. I don't much about leases and lease buyouts, I have heard you can get a better deal leasing then buying the lease out. I am just buying it outright.

The right color is important to me, and I would be willing to pay a few bucks more to get the color I want, all else being equal. A good estimate is to take the price of the car and add about 10% to cover tax, license and registration. If you live in a low sales tax city, ie: in Thousand Oaks our sales tax rate is 7.25%, you may save a little more. The tax rate you will have to pay depends upon where your car is registered, so I got the 7.25% even though I bought the car in Ontario which may have a different sales tax rate. It appears you are getting $6K to $7K off of MSRP, which sounds good for a 2020, although I would expect a better deal on a 2019 if the same car is available. This may not the case, however, for a silver one.

We're at 8.125%, 10% plus the cost is about 500 less than what I am paying out the door so its pretty close to your formula. There are a couple 2019 still around and they're willing to deal on them alot but I don't mind paying more for a 2020. This car also has a nuch of the options on it cargo tray etc etc. I didn't really care about any of that but there were only 2 gray ones in 100 miles, so I couldn't be to picky.

I personally jumped into this thread at page 71 if you want to have a look. I suspect if you read through this thread you'll get a ballpark. I've un-watched and re-watched this thread multiple times, depending on how much free time I have :)

I understand others claims to have saved more than I using a lease buyout approach to purchasing a new Stinger. I bought mine for cash and was happy with the deal - $43,049 OTD. If anyone else was able to get a better deal, hey, that is great. I did not have a lot of time to find a replacement for our totalled sedan.

I don't really know anything about the lease buyout approach and didn't have time to study up on it. I'll have to check into before my wife gets her new car next year.

I got the car last night. I ended up paying mostly cash, and financed a bit to get the rebate(will just pay off loan). I'm happy with the deal, they we're able to trade for the color I wanted. I love the car although only had it one day :) This is a pretty interesting thread plan on following, and digging through it some more.

Is anyone waiting for the 2021 refresh? Do you guys think the lease rebates will be lower on them and higher on the 2020s once it comes out? Maybe worth waiting.

That's always the case with preceding model years (e.g. 2018 lease cash was higher by a few thousand dollars vs 2019)

I paid 45000 for Gt2 unlimited white fully loaded.I think it was a ok deal. That was also tax included & service package.

Pearl white GT payed $65,000AU (QLD Australia)
I paid $66,000 for a 2020 Kia stinger gt carbon edition. I tried really hard to get it for $65,000, but the dealer would not accept that price. I did get a few extras thrown in worth a couple of hundred dollars.

Wow, thats a such a good price! Well done.

If I had waited a few more months I probably could have a got the bi modal exhaust thrown in. The dealers must be hurting by now. I have seen enough videos to know that there is about a 15% margin in the car. Dealers could include the bi modal exhaust and still make a profit...

I paid $38,000 for a 2019 GTS AWD. I have actually seen used GTS's with as much as 9,000 miles on them for more than that!

I'm leasing my 2020 GT AWD for 36 months. After my trade-in my monthly payments, including oil changes & tire rotations, are less than $150 a month. At lease end $22,000 remaining to finance if I want it.

How much did you get for your trade-in?

Hmm.
Got a quote for the 2020 HCB / gray interior.
$52257,46 USD for the car.
First increased lease fee $10436,54 USD (20% part payment)

Then $736,48 USD /mo (incl tax)

36 months, 25000 km/year. buy-out option in the end estimated at $16703,68 USD.

It is depressing how little flexibility there is in European prices compared to what the US market offers.
