This sounds like one more way for the dealers to screw you. Practices like this is something you all (dealers) should be ashamed of.
how so? it's not like they hide the window sticker in the glove compartment while it's on the showroom floor. they place it in there for you after you've bought it.

Mine was in the car before I bought it thank you I bought the car after hours I was at work when we set it up and the staff waited for me and had financing ready do the car was ready for me i just test drove it and signed papers and left nothing was shown or explained even though i asked questions and the window sticker was sealed in a envelope in the glove box so no i seen nothing before i took it!!! Two days later after i opened it and seen it and noticed the tires i called the dealer and asked questions that they knew nothing about pretty sad.

Yes, us putting the window sticker in your glove box so you know exactly the features you paid for and the MSRP of the car you bought down the road is a way to screw you and shameful... you're completely correct. Do you prefer peeling the sticker and scraping the sticky residue off your window yourself when you get home? Because nobody does that.

Don't worry mr. Sds's (balistic & miller) are just here for drama!

I pulled my own sticker off! So, was well aware of the non disclosure!

I'd really recommend approaching your situation with a more level head. It's really no surprise you haven't gotten far in accomplishing anything regarding your Stinger if you treat the people you talk to on the phone/in person the same way you act on this forum.

Our detail crew is a little more competent than to leave stickers on the car when it is presented to the customer for delivery. That's rookie and looks bad.

I prefer to see the car and the options before purchasing the vehicle and having the dealer answer my questions correctly would you not do that for a customer? even in a rush or late sale? that way there is no confusion!!!

they sure hid mine even put it in a sealed envelope in the glove box before i even showed up at the dealer to pick up the car!!!

We have the sticker in the window until the customer signs the paperwork making the car theirs. I am just saying if people in this forum lost theirs or want to use theirs as evidence that they weren't told the top speed is limited, you can look in your glove box because a lot of people think the dealers just throw them away. In our case we leave them with you in the glove box.

If your window sticker was in the glove box before you even arrived at the dealer, I agree that is messed up. They probably did it to try hiding their markup or something.

that's not the way it works. it goes off the tire sticker on the inside of the door jamb

someone with a 18" GT should post theirs. I put up a pic of mine (19" gt)
I have a 18 Micro Blue Stinger gt with the 18s and there Bridgestone Potenza tires and it will actually only go 134 mph and I am fighting KIA hardcore on it right now

The window stickers do not say anything about the speed limiter and the dealer I bought my stinger from were in Minnesota, so if your a dealer you know the northern states got or supposed to get the all season tire package but they have not told me or two other people but they have two other reg gt's awd v6 with the summer tires i drove both after the fact and they do not govern at 134 so I want it fixed

call consumer affairs and have the case escalated to the escalations department I know a few people there that i am now currently working with I have 11 or 12 open tickets with them on a brand new car

I definitely hear you wanting it fixed. The unfortunate thing is Kia didn't make the dealerships aware this limiter existed, so no salespeople would have even known to tell their customers. I didn't even know about the limiter myself until I saw this thread, but have let every customer know since finding out about it.

I would expect Kia to offer some kind of fix or compensation (and not a joke like 2 monthly payments), especially if people are filing lawsuits. I assume it will take them a little while to weigh their options and decide exactly how to fix this for their customers though.

And I dont want to hear the dealer cant re flash the pcm or help with the tires because I have been told by the manager at the escalations dept that the dealer can get the wheels and tires and can also get the flash which would fix the calibration for speedo trans shift points and speed limiter and this came from Jorge which is in the engineering dept at kia believe me I have been dealing with alot of this I have lots of knowledge but guess what the dealers are to cheap to cut in and help the customer out when they know they can and that is BS.

The escalations department is not a fun place to be. I am pissy about the limiter but not nearly as escalated as I was when a brand new KIA Sportage sx lost a plastic cam plug and took out a engine, turbo, and catalyst. However, does not make me like it anymore bc this was to replace and make me happy. Not any more happy then I was with a suv that lost every thing less than a year after purchasing.

I understand I have a Optima SXL that has had a turbo and transmission with 80000 miles on it ans some other major issues but you need to be on them or if you dont make your voice heard like david said things wont change

She stands and gives applause! NOW SET OUR STINGERS FREE!

I have been in contact with salesman, gm of the dealer, owner of dealership, Mr. West, Mr. Cafferkee(?) (Not sure how this ass spells his name), and sent a letter to the editor of motortrend. If you have someone who is listening I would love to have their phone number.
