Finished a 2000km road trip over the last 5 days. This was our last stay...with a VERY DIRTY car.
Some roads were absolutely treacherous but the Stinger and the Nokians got the job done.
My car was dirty the whole time and it was killing me. We had a fairly busy schedule and I wasn't familiar with the area (Spokane). We drove on slushy roads going south and the car was the filthiest it has ever been. I stopped at an auto wash (never my first choice, I prefer hand washing - detailing) and I looked into the bay and saw the swirly cloth spinny things. That was a big nope. Car stayed dirty lol.I don't think I'd be able to live in a region where the roads get that dirty!![]()
Look for an all cloth car wash. That’s what I did. They offered a monthly membership and I was all in. It’s the plastic bristles that cause the swirly micro scratches. It's the undercarriage that is literally eating away (and eating away at me). The "swirly cloth spinny things" are a necessary evil in order to get to the undercarriage spray. I would like an easy answer to that, especially when traveling away from my happy hunting grounds, but I haven't found one yet.
That does make sense. I guess mine cleans its materialNegative.
All automatic car washes have a 100% guaranteed scratched paint policy. No mater the material of the brushes they use. If the brushes are not thoroughly cleaned after each car passes through (which doesn't happen), then you will for sure have your paint scratched by the dirt picked up from the car/truck that went through before you.
I also have the front end of my Stinger wrapped with protective film. That helps a lotThat does make sense. I guess mine cleans its material
