3.3TT Kia Stinger Aftermarket Exhaust Information and Discussion

Yes It does very much!!! I was starting to conclude this yet I hadn't read through all of the years worth of information regarding this. are there any particular vendors that sell jb4 for best price or just do a search?
I dont believe vendors are authorized to sell it less than retail so direct from BMS(https://burgertuning.com/products/kia-stinger-jb4), or one of our top vendors(BurgerTuning JB4 Tuning Module - Kia Stinger 3.3 / 2.0)would be your best bet.

And most people recommend getting the wireless phone connection so you can see live logging of dozens or parameters(Boost, Ignition timing, AFR, etc.) and can change maps on the fly, to name a few of its advantages.

Got it that makes sense thank you very much for the information everybody is so helpful here.
I know it might sound dumb, but take into account that you'll want new spark plugs AND that the Android App costs $30 (at least in Canada).

It's a small price for all the support Terry and his team provide though !

Yep . I'm surprised on the spark plugs on Subarus you use stock plugs stock Gap you do anything else i.e colder plugs and in many cases it does more harm than good, and that's running big turbo e85 24 lb of boost 450 wheel horsepower. But all cars handle the power differently and require different things to keep it running right.

Here is some very surprising data.

...

Edit: nevermind ! that was something else :D

Hello

Anyone can guess what

primary cat delete
secondary cat delete
resonator delete replaced with HFC
stock muffler

sounds like?

I have this configuration now and I must say, it sounds very different than I expected. :D

Let's hear it!

It sounds almost like straight pipe. Kind of high pitch raspy sound. I did not expect that with the stock muffler. I will change the stock muffler at some point.

The muffler is the most restrictive part of the entire exhaust system, probably more restrictive than all 4 of the Cadillac converters combined

Have you done tests yourself?
From my experience with other Stinger/G70s, removing the 1st cats seem to add the most power.

Just for you doing this for years and years and years with many cars whatever cuts out the most sound generally is your biggest factor.

Ok. My next mod will probably be a bimodal exhaust with no muffler on one side. We will see what it does for performance. I just hope I won't get turbo overspool.

I've only seen few people on here have boost creep or over spooling issues. Basically, the wastegate actuator doesn't signal quick enough to bleed off boost over the target generally when under more load than normal, comes such as going up a hill, downshifting into just the right RPM to cause significant load on the turbos ect.. I'm pretty certain it is a tuning issue. Unfortunately, most of the the tunes have catalytic converters in place or at least the primaries. Maybe contact the tuner with some data logging if that does happen to you to see if they possibly could correct it by sending you a remaped tune...

Yes. This problem can be fixed by ECU tuning.
For piggyback users, there is no solution yet so only solution is to keep at least one of the catalysts to avoid sudden boost spikes.

I wish I had that WHP that is over 100 whp more than mine , what is your torque values ?? I wish I could get a ECU time here I was waiting for Tork Motorsports to dues there stage 2 tune but still not finish I guess :( here in BC Canada I have not found anyone who can tune my ECU ! How is your Transmission holding up with that whp ??
Have you looked at ECU TUNING GROUP they have a shop in Vancouver and Richmond.

Just sent off email to see what they say
Also Kagantuned i believe in NY is getting great results so far and already made about 410whp/450wtq on a completely stock Stinger.
