Lease Incentive History by Month

Here's the chart for the RWD models in November:

Lease Incentives 5-18 to 11-19.webp

Shot in the dark here, but anyone think lease incentives will go up in December or down? Don't know if I should pull the trigger now or wait for year end deals...

Kia has largely been on a 2 month schedule for major changes to lease incentives. If last year is any indication, the lease cash will be similar in December.

If you’re ready to buy, I’d try to negotiate now - especially if there’s not a lot of inventory around you for the trim and color you want.

The current incentives already say that they are good until the new year. They could add additional incentives in December but they cannot take the current ones away.

I've been dealing with a couple of dealers for a GT1 AWD. Checked on autobytel for the lease incentive in area codes where I will be purchasing, and also my own. The website says $9,100. I've been getting quoted for $10,100 from 2 dealers now. I don't know if this is a bait and switch because I can't find where the extra $1,000 is coming from. Anyone know why?

Perhaps autobytel has the wrong info.

Try going here and selecting a GT1 AWD in your area, then the lease tab, and changing the term. What shows under applied offers?

Kia website says $9,100. Sigh..... looks like it is bait and switch. This is why people can't trust dealers.

The extra $1000 could just be extra dealer discount off MSRP, though I'm not sure why they'd list it as a rebate. Anyway, make a new post with the specifics of the deal and we can help tell you whether your best offer is a good one or not.

Doubt they would put it in the rebate, that's definitely classic bait and switch. Ok, once I get my numbers I'll post up.

Is that for 36 months or 24 months? The 24 month rebates are higher than the 36 month lease rebates.

Has anyone heard of the summer special / holiday special select VIN vehicles receiving an extra $1,000 off on the lease incentives? I was just told that by a dealership....

Yeah, holiday special, although it's supposed to be $2K off. But must finance/purchase. Can't lease.

I've been told its for the lease too though... ugh no straight answers.

"VIN-Specific Retail Bonus Cash from Kia Motors America, Inc. on the purchase of specially-tagged new 2019 Stinger Premium, GTS, GT, GT1, GT2 in dealer stock. Offer valid while vehicle supplies last; quantities are limited. Offer is compatible with cash incentives or finance offers available through Kia Motors Finance. Not compatble with lease offers from Kia Motors Finance. Must take delivery from a participating dealer’s stock from 11/1/2019 to 1/2/2020. See dealer for details."

Per the Kia website → Offers → Enter Zip code and Stinger

But I mean I guess if the dealer is letting you combine VIN cash with lease cash, that's good?

Hoping its not bait and switch because I found a decent deal and I want to pull the trigger now.

I'd suggest asking for a lease sheet with all the bits and pieces of information and perhaps even go to leasehackr forums or Edmunds forums and ask for advice.

Me too...I'm going after work. I was told 12.75% off MSRP on a GT2. I think I'm pulling the trigger!

If dealership makes an error to give you extra 2k off they will have to eat that up when they file Lease documents. So go ahead with it if they do.

For my friend they made an error with first monthly payment and we pointed it out to dealer, as dealers are smart and everyone else is dumb they assumed I don't know maths. The dealer reached out after 15 days that they are making new lease document and new one had selling price lowered.

Of course I get to the dealer last night and they pulled the bait and switch. "oh, you wanted that price before rebates?"...so I was pretty pissed because I clearly stated that on an email and had to drive through snow and 45 mins to get there. I did learn that the rebate is at $11,000 now? Kia.com calculator does not reflect this...as of last night. Had 2 dealers tell me it changed to $11,000 now. I don't know the details so don't ask me.
