Would you recommend the JBL EVC Exhaust? It’s pricey so I’m wondering between that and the JBL Catback Gt Exhaust. Any recommendations?

Yes I love it. I’ve not heard the JBL GT in person, but I imagine it sounds similar to the EVC when the valves are open. I know it’s expensive, but having a switch to turn it essentially back to stock is worth it to me.

I’m in sales, so when I have clients in the car it’s nice to have a quieter ride. Also, my kids bedrooms are right above the garage, so not waking them up (or my entire neighborhood) at 5:30am is also nice.

These videos really don’t do the sound any justice... but I guess that’s what you get when you’re recording with an iPhone 6... not exactly made to record clear audio, but it’s all I got, so it will have to do.

I think the heat shield is more complete than Ingen but I could be wrong. I didn’t really look into Injen. I’ve always went with K&N when I’ve had a CAI.

Yesterday I had a little time so I thought I should test out the launch control, properly. So I did 3 launches and managed to get a 0-60 in 6.0 sec. Since I have the European 245 hp version, I think that's actually pretty good. It was 15 degrees outside.
I also noticed that it leaves 2 very even skid marks which makes me finally sure that I have the LSD on the car (an info I haven't been able to get from my dealer).

Do you have the JB4 or Cold Air Intake or any performance mods?

No mods, it's all stock. I do have the optional 19 inch 255x35 rear tyres and used 98RON gasoline.
Adding the JB4 and cold air intake can shave off more than 1 second on that 0-60. It brings the 2.0t to life. There are other options but my experience with the mods I added is def. worth the money.
On a side note. LOVE the ceramic paint on your whip. Looks awesome!

Are you sure it's only 245? The paperwork I got for my 2.0 GT LINE says 255hp

@Eric OHalloran Thanks! Do any of those threaten the warranty of the car? I really use this as my main car for long trips, and I travel a lot :).

@Cip87 Did you already receive the car? If it's produced after Aug 2018, or something, it has 180kw (approx 245hp). It also have EUR 6D Temp, which is the latest emissions rating.

no, I will get it next week. As I said all the paper work says 188 kw, that would be weird

I have heard different stories. Never heard of anyone outright get denied. The law says they have to prove the mod was the cause of the issue.

Do you guys know if the 2.0 gt line with the 18 inch type B rims comes with the same size rims for front and back? I hope they are not staggered cause I already got the tires :)

They are the same 225x45 R18
PS: You will have 180kw, trust me :)

Well that kinda sucks with the paperwork saying different

Yeah, it was the same with mine. The engine is the same but because in the meantime it became illegal to sell new cars with older emissions standards, the software limits the power to 180kw. It affected most cars being sold in the EU starting summer 2018.

Well I need to get my front bumper fixed first.. and then find some flatter roads in the aptly names “Northwest Hills of Connecticut”, and I think I can get this time closer to 5 flat!

With the Racechip on, did you reduce the gap on your HKS M45XL spark plugs? Have these plugs worked well with your Racechip, even at the highest Racechip setting?

With the HKS M45XL plugs I left the stock gap as I've seen recommendations go both ways and they worked fine. However, I had an issue about year ago with hesitation and stalling so put the car back to stock to help diagnose it, so I did put the stock plugs back in, but I went ahead and gapped them down to recommended gap. The dealer was able to fix the issue under warranty (fuel pump). The car was running fine so I left the stock plugs in and they've been working fine with the RaceChip and I leave mine in Race (the highest setting) all the time.
