Not a lot of work to build your own (vents, not hat) - it's just a piece of mesh material inserted behind the wheel liner. You can buy small sheets of stainless steel mesh on ebay, which is probably the most durable and corrosion resistant (especially the 316 variant).

Good find. I thought he made those.

He did make (design?) the ones he was selling though I am not sure if he was legally allowed to do it do to copyright. He may have been legally selling them if he was not making a profit and I do not think he was. Not to sure how it works down under if it is the same as in the US.

9 hours later finished my first layer of ceramic with another to go. Not sure it's worth all the prep work. During the application it felt as if I was just buffing off everything I had just put on. O well got take care of kids so secound layer tomorrow.

It is worth it. A PROPER detail entails a lot of prep work to get the best result, regardless. I find the application of the actual ceramic coating no more arduous than any other wax or sealant (once you have some practice). To get great results, you're spending about the same amount of time, but you get a coating that lasts longer and does somewhat repel contaminants, and supposedly adds a miniscule amount of protection.

First time using a buffer today so had a lot to learn. Not sure I chose the best polish. I used mcguires ultimate polish. Found the atached lights to help brighten up the garage and hunt down a few swirl Mark's.

I did not modify the side skirts, I did not want to "mess" them up. I instead cut the mud flaps to fit around the skirts. For some reason, I had no problem with the idea of "messing" up the mud flaps...
