What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

My Stinger is my daily driver, I try to get it under cover on my day shifts and keep it away from the trees that hang over the uncovered parking spaces. Night shift isn’t usually an issue getting a covered spot, but it’s only ever partially covered, if I nose in, the back end is still exposed but it’s better than all of it. Still gets covered in dust and lately pollen even when under cover. The only truly covered spots are on the lower level car parks but they’re reserved for the work cars and the bosses. Middle management like me don’t get the luxury of the basement car park. That being said the basement is a bit tight for maneuvering and more risk of someone rubbing against or scratching while trying to get into a work car so there’s pros and cons to each I guess.

Yes that dust and pollen is a killer. Need to wash your car everyday to keep it clean. I am spoilt being able to use a daily driver to keep the Stinger home safe and clean. I feel for you guys that use it as a daily driver.

On the upside I drive it daily so that’s a bonus because it’s such a good car to drive

I was going to mention that. You drive it every day . Definitely a bonus.

Yeah pretty much most days. I do 4 on 6 off so there’s rest days where I’ve got nothing on or couldn’t be bothered going out and it sits in the garage but for now it’s the only car I’ve got so it gets used all the time. Probably why it’s going in on Monday for 20,000km service at just over a year old. Only had the 10,000km in February.

I am at 4000kms in almost 6 months. But like I said, I have other cars too.

I had my 20,000km service done in March & my 30,000km in August.

That’s the problem with the short service intervals in regards to distance. Wonder why they can’t be 15 rather than 10 thousand kms.
Turbo engines is why.

It’s easy to do because it’s such a good car to drive but I know you’ve done some good long drives in it too. I’ve only done one up to Port Macquarie. The rest is half hour each way to work, and 45 minutes to Newcastle to visit family. I really need to do a few more long trips and stretch it out a bit. I may have one to Coffs in December.

8 months from purchase to 10,000km service but I was overseas for a month so it’s really 7 months of use. Then 7 months from 10,000km to 20,000km

Today I swapped my Injen filters for some bigger ones. Didn't test yet, but Iike the looks.

Installed a Maxton Design V1 lip in gloss black. I really like the look, but I'm not sure how well it will hold up to impacts on steep driveways since it's abs plastic. My car wont see much winter use this year so I should be good, but if my car was lowered it might be another story...

First pic is calendar worthy.
I cleaned the kids half of the car. Hi I'm new here.
Welcome. That's possibly the funniest intro post I've seen.

I've had the same one on mine for almost a year. Lowered on H&Rs and I've scraped several times on misjudged driveways, it's fine. if you used the self tapping screws (I have at least 12 on there, I think), you should be fine. Mine has held up very well. I'd be more worried that it's gloss black and any scratch or scrape will be noticeable (top side, not underneath scrapes)

Good to know, I took my time during the install. I used 4 of the provided bolts in the OEM locations in place of the oem plastic push pins, 8 self tapping screws in other locations with washers and 5 feet of 3m automotive tape. It's on there solid I didn't mess around haha

As anyone got any clear photos of the Maxton rear spoiler in gloss black and what holds it on and is it easy to fit and the quantify the item? Tia.

Turbo engines is why.

I think that's part of it, but I think the direct injection plays a part too. The turbo Liberty I owned had 12,500km service intervals, and I've known of European turbo engines cars with 15,000km service intervals.

I drive a lot for work (the Stinger was acquired so I could do this), the servicing is going to be interesting...
