Not sure it was all Stingers so you may be lucky.
Oh ok, I’ll have to check my settings. Only ever had the sound drop out once a few days after I got the car and then never again touch wood it stays that way

It was the problem of losing all sound on the infotainment system. Turning off the Quantum Logic which is found on the menu under advanced sound fixed the problem. Started having the problem about a month after purchasing. Found a thread on this forum explaining about the Quantum Logic feature.

I had this happen for the first time this morning.

I shut the car off, got out and locked the car then unlocked and got back in and it was back working fine.
I tried that a couple of times but it didn't work unless the car was off for a reasonable amount of time. Turning off the Quantum Logic feature stops the problem happening again.

and it also means you don't get the quantum sound...which is very good. shouldn't have to shut off the feature to have it work, but that's what my service guys did too, though they told me something else.

So they didn't fix it properly then I gather.

well, I just put it back in quantum, so well see...but I know it was in quantum when I dropped it off and that it wasn't in quantum when I got it back. If that's what they did to fix it, instead of what they told me, then it would be the first time I caught them even trying to scam me in almost two years. they've been over the top awesome for me since my first purchase and very straightforward.

I wonder if there is a proper fix for this problem. From what you have told me, it doesn't sound like it. Your service guys probably heard about the Quantum Logic from this forum.

Feb 2019, only issue so far is rear wheels spin when taking off sometimes and the speedo needle spikes up to 100kph quite often, other than that i can't fault it.

That's the same build date and same problem my Stinger has.

Maybe time to change to lighter shoes or put traction control back on.:D

My model doesn't have Quantum Logic (UK 2.0 GT Line) so it can't be that.

Ok I wasn't aware of that. It does sound like a very similar problem though.

Just curious, why? Only difference is the heated steering wheel. I know Canberra gets cold but seems a bit extreme for warm hands.
I can imagine how much you would lose on trading in a 1 year old Stinger just to buy basically the same car.
