Ok, that's it, there is so much STANG talk going on, I wasn't gonna get involved , but since it's still going on, and since @Ozstung just mentioned the 4cyl turbo engine is in the Focus RS, thought I would contribute this video from Car Tell .tv uploaded this morning, with Jenny

Yes, the 2.3L Ecoboost engine is common to both. It is used in the new ST as well (which is apparently a very good car).

I think we're ment to rise above it, but occasionally one feels the need to respond and make a stand. From a mods point I can see they probably don't want to see a continuation.

Maybe but sometimes people need to be told, and this was one of those times. It’s somewhat ironic that the bulk of the members on this forum are from the US and Australia, 2 countries that crap on about free speech, but the minute you voice an opinion that someone doesn’t like the mods delete the post and at times the entire conversation as if it never happened. They should be calling the troll out and then telling them to pull their head in or face being punted rather than trying to pretend it didn’t happen. My 2 cents worth anyway.

100% correct. I have been left scratching my head when someone has wanted a piece of me only to find my response removed immediately.

For what it's worth, the only place Australia has guaranteed freedom of speech is under parliamentary privilege. The US has the first amendment, true. But then they also have one of the most litigious societies in the world as well.

The reason those "arguments" are shut down is because they end up looking bad in the forums for people who aren't involved, not because we want to silence those who oppose bad behaviour. I have no doubt at all that there are times when one particular member or the other deserves both barrels, but often in the interests of keeping topics on-topic and the forums a generally positive place to interact with other Stinger owners, the offending dumb/inappropriate post gets removed, and then any comments directly related to it that aren't on-topic for the thread are also removed in the interest of "tidiness" - I can guarantee it has nothing to do with trying to pretend things didn't happen.

I am sure you can imagine how less inviting the site would be if we left "the bloodstains on the carpet" every time The poster of something against the rules was shown the error of their ways.

The moderators almost never act without a post or series of posts bring reported. Sure, we do occasionally see an argument and aim to clean up the mess but generally, reported posts are what brings us into a thread.

Please also note that those who consistently break the rules (or walk the line) are absolutely known to the moderator team, and to Sal. There have been a number of bans issued of late for repeated inappropriate behaviour, and anyone who thinks that they can flout the rules with regularity is going to find themselves on the end of a graduated response process that will result in their permanent ban from the site if they don't correct their behaviour.

Can I say that being a moderator ain’t always fun either as when we do our roles we always get flak. Goes with the job, never a Thankyou only why did you do that. Its the bigger picture we try to look at and it’s a fine line we walk that will never make everyone happy all of the time.
If I took the nasty things some trolls say about me seriously I would go crazy.
As Manaz said if an offending Post is removed we usually remove all other posts that are connected to it to get the thread back on topic. Even some of my stuff has been deleted that way by other mods. As to the trolls and their punishment, well that’s Sals final say not ours and he does not ban the bad behaviour immediately. Sal has banning power not us.
If anyone else can do better then step up as a moderator. Only 5 in the world at moment, thats a lot of moderating for us to do.
