Well, to be reasonably accurate, it's one in c. 50K.This is probably one case in a million.

If so, the dealers apparently have discretion on that. I was offered a loaner car without me asking, when I had my car in to have them check a brake concern.Shit, at least they gave you a loaner....Kia Canada's policy is they DO NOT provide loaners for any reason.
This is where KIA/Hyundai is going to have to do some rethinking on what they want to be. With the Launch of the Stinger and Telluride they are entering into a whole new segment. If they can't provide the service at the Dealer and Corporate level that people expect when paying over the $50K mark for a vehicle they will not be able to change anyone's mind about what Kia is. If they aren't willing to make that change they should just stick to the model of reasonably priced daily drivers and the customer service the people who buy them expect.Shit, at least they gave you a loaner....Kia Canada's policy is they DO NOT provide loaners for any reason.
2018 Stinger GT2 with 3150 miles on it. Backed out of my driveway, put it into drive, went about 30 feet and then a very loud bang, bang, bang, bang. Pulled over to the side of our street. Got out and looked underneath the car and transmission fluid was flowing from under the car. I did not hit anything. Nothing in the street. Never have hit anything while driving the car. Such a huge disappointment. Car won't go into any gear but neutral. Had it towed to the dealer. Have to wait till they are open on Monday to get some answers. I have loved this car but now wish I could get my money back if that were possible. Never had a transmission fail on any car I have owned.
Has anyone else had this experience or heard of this affecting a Stinger?
To heck with comparing Kia service to the Germans! A friend who drives a 19-year-old I35 still gets concierge service from Infiniti, even though she lives 20 miles from the dealership. My Kia dealer is pretty good so far, but they don't even offer me shuttle service because, at 13 miles, I'm too far away. When I did qualify for a loaner, it was a Corolla with 30K on the odometer from Enterprise. Consequently, I'm not even going to try to convince my friend to look at Kia when she buys a new car.Agreed difficult for Kia to give you a GT2 for about 40k USD (I got mine for about 40 something K) and get gourmet coffee, nice 6 feet blond receptionist, 5 star loaner, a flashy luxurious dealer environment and a pat on your gluteus maximus. I'm tired of the Germans ripping people off.
Sure but Infinity has made lots of money over time so they can do that they are established, Kia just started to make lux cars so give them time, can't expect Kia to give you a 40k sports GT car and get all the amenities like the Germans from one year to another... It took the Germans and Japanese decades remember? To heck with comparing Kia service to the Germans! Genesis is offering full Concierge service, the same parent company so somewhere in Hyundai Motors they understand the concept. Not saying Kia has to turn into BMW overnight, but once they decided to start selling cars at this price point they do need to work towards providing the levels of customer service people who are dropping that much cheddar on a car expect, like providing loaner cars while your Stinger or Telluride is in getting service.Sure but Infinity has made lots of money over time so they can do that they are established, Kia just started to make lux cars so give them time, can't expect Kia to give you a 40k sports GT car and get all the amenities like the Germans from one year to another... Yes agreed it will take time for Kia to give you some of the cheddar you have invested.Genesis is offering full Concierge service, the same parent company so somewhere in Hyundai Motors they understand the concept. I'm guessing you have another car to use when getting service. The Stinger is it for me, and although I happily bought it despite knowing I wouldn't get concierge service, it would be smart customer service for Kia to at least have late model loaners available for when warranty work is being done. It's not about having "a right" to a loaner, it's about having the kind of customer service that will lure customers away from Infiniti, Lexus, and the Germans, all of which sell cars in the same price range. Coming from Pontiac, I was an easy mark, but people coming from premium brands, not so much.No one has a right to a loaner car, if you get one, great, if not get over it.
I know you don't believe me and that you doubt my story. You have expressed that in several posts. Not sure what your deal is.This is what you posted last November 2019 :
"Is there a transmission recall on the Stinger? I saw news about a wiring recall but nothing about the transmission."
You said the car just blew after 3k miles, not that I don't believe you or doubt you would make this up but I just wonder why would you be asking about transmission failures more than half a year ago...
Back on topic now?
No accusations, just asking, chill dude! And I truly hope your car gets fixed. Peace out!I know you don't believe me and that you doubt my story. You have expressed that in several posts. Not sure what your deal is.
I had heard talk on this forum of a possible transmission recall and wanted to make sure I was not missing an recalls. I guess in your strange mind that somehow makes me guilty of making up stories 9 months later about my drive train bolts falling off and the drive train wrecking my transmission. You are more than welcome to come and see my Stinger in the back of the dealer lot where it has been sitting since July 6. If not, than stop with accusations.

Update. Still cannot get anyone at Kia to reach out to me to discuss my issue and how it will be resolved. When I call the Premier support line about my case they will only tell me that people are looking in to the issue. I called the dealer this morning and spoke with the GM. I explained to him that no one at Kia will contact me. He apologized and said he had been told that Kia was working with me. I said that was not true. He said he was told early on not to touch the car and that a legal team was getting involved. He was asked by Kia if there was evidence that I had modified or dragged raced the car. I had a feeling they were going to try to blame me. An engineer finally came out and looked at the car along with the district manager and service tech. The GM said it was obvious the drive train bolts were not properly installed and fell out. He said Kia asked him to submit a repair quote. He told me this was a was a waste of time as an insurance company would total the car. He said it would be over $14,000 in parts alone and they would need to take the floor out of the car out and replace it and many welds. Despite this, Kia will still not talk to me.
