Drag/Acceleration The Official 1/4 mile track thread.

No WMI on the car with hybrid turbos?

Yes he has WMI, not that it did much with boost as it is. That will come in to play more once the car can hold 26psi for an entire 1/4 mile run.

26 psi? Wow..

Are we going to see roll bars as a Stinger mod soon,

  • Cars running 11.49 or quicker ET’s (and all convertibles running 13.49 and quicker) must have an NHRA approved roll bar, SFI approved seat belts & jacket.(frame connectors and wheel tubs OK). All cars equipped with a standard transmission running 11.49 and quicker must have an SFI approved bellhousing, flywheel and clutch.
The way it's going 11.49 is close. If not achieved and not yet posted.

Not sure what the cage rules are these days. It used to be 11.99. Then they lowered to 11.49. But some cars run 10s stock and they let us run those without issue. I think at some point they lowered it to 9.99s.

I pulled that off the Mission Race Way website today. These great numbers we're seeing the boys getting are inspiring me tune-up and get out there.

I asked at pacific raceways a few weeks back and he just said a jacket at 11.49.

Just a thought... would it be beneficial to add other information? I think Density Altitude would be very helpful. And, to a lesser extent, wheels. The more we know about the cars and conditions, the better we can understand how our modifications are working. I would also like to see weight, but I’m not sure all tracks have scales. Thoughts?

Short answer is we'll see. If there is demand we can make it happen on the JB4 end.

For now I'm curious to see how well this simple approach works in terms of improving launches and allowing burn outs before runs.

please integrate this!

DA is a requirement in most other fast lists for other communities. It's 100% useless to compare a 3000ft DA to a sea-level DA.

We truly need to move this list to a spreadsheet format if anybody wants to compare setups.

I agree, wholeheartedly. If I run a 12 flat at Atco (nearly sea level) in ideal conditions, and someone does and 12.2 in Colorado, I want to know how their car did so well. I also agree with the spreadsheet

I agree list needs to have octane, DA, rims, and tires as separate columns.

I'm working on a spreadsheet. The trick will be how to organize it so that the mods are cleanly shown and comparable.

I did a Google sheet last year but nobody would use it as this thread kept getting updated instead. A column for each primary mod (WMI, primary DP, secondary DP, intakes, FMIC) would be enough - brands aren't important.

You'd have the mod category specific column, leave field leave blank for factory or fill in brand perhaps?

Angel clearly has a factory freak car lol. Even his posted 11.9 run with minimal mods a while back...good lord.
