Drag/Acceleration The Official 1/4 mile track thread.

Kinvara already beat my 60 foot using a brake mod when he ran 11.95.

What's taking so long? Go cut your wire, run an 11.6x or better, and add BMS to your signature when you do. ;)

"Faster than a piggy on meth after receiving help from Terry at BMS."

Has a nice ring to it. I don't think daddy will be happy about that though.

Just curious - how good is a 1.6 0-60ft, relatively speaking? I know next to nothing about 1/4 mile stuff.. A quick google showed some Mustangs TRYING to get to 1.6. Obviously with RWD, launch will be more difficult.

It's extremely good. For a frame of reference, a Hellcat with a drag radial pulls a high 1.5x 60ft.

For comparison on the 60' here is a dragy slip off my 2018 M5...

If I cut my wire I'll add Burger brake mod to my sig. ;)

Thanks @Terry@BMS. That does seem like we're in the big leagues with the launch, assuming it can be repeated. Now Pure Turbos need to get their stuff going..

FFP already cut their brake signal wire and can't wait to get back to the track. Hopefully, they can get some good drag tires first. :)

Yes 80 additive
How come his boost goes up to 20psi hold?
My car usually doesn't exceed 19psi even though I have a higher target value. Is it because I have lower temps? (rolling vs drag + hardware differences)

Being able to launch the car and cut 1.6x 60' times was really the last major thing holding the car back. Of course the question will now be does Kia know something we don't which is why they blocked brake boosting in the first place? Maybe the drivetrain isn't really up to it long term? Time will tell. But no doubting this single cut wire is effectively a Stinger racing game changer. :)

Maybe they want to protect the transmission?
I'll do a bit of research.

He's AWD so they run a little more boost from the factory, and temps also play a role. He's IAT spoofing boost up.

For Track Results:
1. Provide picture of track Slip. Try to provide a picture of the track slip by your car number if possible, this will ensure the track slip belongs to your car.
2. Video of track run. Its 2019 and everyone owns a smart phone. Have someone record you when you make your runs. If you break a record then this is the ultimate proof that no one can deny. This is what will make your run 100 percent validated. Of course make sure you record the time at the end. (Optional, Not Required but preferred)
3. List all performance mods, including tires, WMI, Nitrous, weight reduction, etc......

For Dragy Results:
1.Post the dragy slip/result. Your name should match your user name or real name to make sure you used it on your car.
2. If possible have someone record you, although not required but helpful. (Optional, Not required but preferred)
3. Be honest about the conditions you ran in, meaning temperatures. Winter time vs summer time. Dragy should be used more as a performance reference, rather than the ultimate 1/4 results.
4. List all of your performance mods.

Here are the top 15 track times as of July 3rd, 2019.

So to keep the list and informational as possible, we should all include if the wire was cut. This will help the other racers. Also, in the event someone gets a great time with the wire intact, we should know that.
