..........starting the Spring paint correction , in 18 months I've picked up 3 small chips , I wet sanded with 2000 grit , cleaned the chips with thinner and filled them with one coat using a very , very petite paint brush , I'll let it set up for 2 days then wet sand again and apply a light clear coat , let dry , wet sand then buff with polish .............PS , I have 3 SWP pens from Kia and none of them are even close to a color match ! luckily I have a spray can of OEM paint which I sprayed into a cup and used for the base coat .... Once the chips are done I'll clay the whole car , polish , seal and wax .............

The happy fanatic! Obviously you've done this a bunch. I don't have a buffer. And I'd be scared spitless to use one on our thin top coat anyway.

So far all of this is by hand I only use the orbital to polish , apply wax and buff .... You would be suprised how durable our clear coat is , you know you can get your paint thickness measured , if you have a friendly autobody shop they have a handheld meter they can place all over the car to measure you paint thickness : non of my BMWs had better paint than this car has !

I got an OEM paint pen for a rock chip I got in my bumper, I agree the pen's are total crap. Where did you get the OEM spray paint? I was recommended to try drcolorchip.com The snow white pearl is 3 layers, a base color layer, a pearl layer and then a clear coat.

care to share where you go this from ? I was interested to do a clear bra or ceramic coating ... was coated at least 500 for the ceramic coating, apparently you need to be train to apply it

Absolutely no need to know anything about coating this version of quartz UK is stupid easy is literally apply small section then immediately wipe off with microfiber towel they supply in box inside you will find everything u need including instructions also watch YouTube videos on how to, get it from Amazon or auto geek, results are simply fantastic did it already on my porsche

clear bra is 100% protection , ceramic will not save you from chips
