Access to "engineering mode"

Interesting - the Aussie stinger does not have that Wi-Fi icon; nor UVO; or even that HD radio & Sirrus decals on the dash.

Settings that perhaps could be added by getting into engineering mode and changing the location. Im sure it will affect other settings, like radio, etc. But you can always revert back once access to this mode is discovered.

I have tried everything since mine was updated but I can’t access that mode. Not sure if I’m doing it right. They may have got wise to it and cut off the access with the update.

Since the latest SatNav update; the original screen-saver method no longer works.

However the new process seems to be:
1) Go to Settings > Version
2) Tap 4 times on the Map text THEN tap the actual map version number. (Sequence also works against the firmware text & version number)
3) The PIN prompt then appears and now I now have no idea what it is.

1111 as seen on other Kia/Hyundai forums doesn't work (which tipped me off to this process)
0000, 1234, time in 12 & 24hr, date ddmm, mmdd, mmyy, same with the update date in similar fashion are all no go.

Sorry no. I have tried that already, I think that is for an older version of the software. In Australia the current version is 12.47.51.632.001.2 (V12.0)

The code is "2400" at-least for my 2020 Seltos.

I'd like to revisit this one. I have been trying to get further into the menu's but it seems locked out.

Anybody with a KIA tablet, can you see what might be lurking? I would love to see if there is a dyno mode on these cars.

As per my post above; access via the settings > about menu. Click the "map" text 4 times; then click the map version number text.

The bad news is there's less options & no Android menu compared to last year's firmware.
