What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

What I will do in a week or two, subject to the vagaries of international shipping, is install this:

s-l300.jpg

I know it's sort of a (really nasty old) Maserati/(really nice) Mercedes thing. But I'm thinking, "Hey, it's a twin turbo and a V6, why not?" The size is appropriate, 21cm wide altogether, 2.5cm high "V6", 1.2cm high "BITURBO" letters. Figure either I'll somehow mount on the grille or...figure it out. Might paint all or part first. If I think it sucks once I test fit/eyeball the letters I'll give them to my kid to stick wherever. Go ahead, start pouring the derision...

Looks ok but different than kia script

Agreed, if you're always tapping the end of the paddles, that will provide quite a bit more leverage and torque on the stock paddles, that twisting over time could affect the paddle.

On the flipside however, might still be worth trying and seeing what happens :) . Personally, I either use the paddles if I'm still at 10 and 2 when my hands can still reach, or if I'm going around a tight turn, I either hold my speed or leave it in auto :) . The only time this'd be a concern is if you're Auto-Xing or starting from a stop. If you're starting from a stop, you're going to be in D anyway because of the &^*!)(*@ limitation on holding manual shifting! :)

Gotta love the base GT shifter.

True. But then KIA script tends to differ from KIA script... Stinger logo, AWD, and GT on the rear are all different. Makes a good argument for grille placement, though.

It's a V6 twin not bi lol. Nowhere near close aside from turbo count. I think a twin turbo V6 is the scariest badge to see on a car. If I read TT V6 on a sporty and unique looking car, I'd think V8,10,12 of any induction killer? R35 mostly to blame for that lol.

I still am eager to see how it looks like though.

A topic of much debate.. I like this take: https://oppositelock.kinja.com/twin-turbo-vs-biturbo-lets-settle-this-1589877604

Either way, like the sound of it.

Technically a biturbo engine is any engine with 2 turbochargers, either sequential or parallel. Twin turbo specifically means 2 identical turbos (always? Prove me wrong) in parallel.

So yes, the 3.3 is a biturbo, it's also a twin turbo.

Ok on the flip side maybe we need to be more unique, any vendors willing to find or produce "Double Turbo" badges?

I'm going to have 'V6 with Two Equally Sized TurboChargers Not Run in Series' made up in chrome letters, and stick that across my trunk ...

Duo Turbo?

Turbo/2
