What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

You are correct, that is how it works with GT2. It would just be "nice" if we didn't need to "double tap" when coming to a stop.
I went the first 4K miles on my GT1 before I "discovered" the manual gate feature. So I was doing exactly the same thing that GT2 drivers do when they come to a complete stop in Sport mode; pulling the paddle when I want to keep shifting manually. I didn't find it annoying, only "just the way it is".

So, yesterday I did the large Stinger script, removed the AWD and small Stinger badge. The lower badges came off no worries, and the Kia badge came off without ripping off paint (I used goo-gone and fishing line). I had to use a plastic drywall knife which isn't very hard, but it still managed to put some scratches and gouges into the paint around where the Kia badge was. What's done is done, but I honestly feel that shouldn't have happened with the tool I used and how gently I tried to use it. Either way, I have some tri-coat touch up paint on order (I needed some better paint for rock chips anyway). I'll draw on my prior experience of building up in the defects, sand and polish and see if I can turn a 6 foot away flaw into a 1-2 foot away flaw. The white does hide it better than a color does.

Hrm. Had you heated the badge prior to removing? I know in my case that was pretty key, they came off fairly reasonably with heat - and only with. Doing wheel centers and all that as well?

I applied no heat and it wasn't an overly warm day. There was actually very little issue in the removal using my method, but I knew the fishing line only made it as far as the pins on the Kia badge and there was still glue between them. I only used the tool to get to that area, but it managed to damage the paint around the outside of the badge getting it under the badge, and I was pretty gentle about it. I think the paint on that rear panel just isn't tough at all, generally soft plastic should not damage clear coat (easily) since clear coat is supposed to cure hard. Regardless, I think I can make it look a lot better. It's not horrendous, but I know it is there. I did not use heat because I was too afraid of ripping paint off with the adhesive like others have. I wanted to cut the adhesive rather than pull it from the paint.

I did wheel cap overlays (GT) but they have some bubbling, a new set is coming eventually. I also did the steering wheel badge (GT), the GT on the mode dial and the Korean K badge overlay for the front.

I'm probably not doing much else for cosmetic mods, getting tired of crap breaking on this car every time I touch it lol. Something plastic had broken every time I work on it.

True. For mine I suspect they used whomping great quantities of Überglue, had to get it really warm before the thing would budge.

+1.... feelsbadman.
I used the trim removal tool, took my time, super gentle pressure, still managed to crack the plastic trim.

Thanks! One other question. Do these just get added as an extension to the original paddles or are they removed completely? Thinking of buying red but concerned if the original ones remain and they are silver.
They are attached to the original paddles and I had the same concerns which is why I got the matching silver.

I actually wanted the Blue to match my car but IMO it looks unusual with the silver OEM paddle under the colored extensions. See the link below for more examples.Kia Stinger Aluminum Paddle Shifter Extensions

Nice, do you know what brand the vinyl is? Planning on getting this done, too.

Ended up converting reverse halogens to LEDs. Used sylvania 921 1.8W. Bottom are LEDs. Painless install.
