Hello, had anyone been able to get 0-60 imes and 1/4miles times for any of the race chips?

Also, am i reading the site write that you can buy 3 performance items? The xlr throttle response, race chip and the performance upgrade tune?

6FEBE80A-DE72-43B9-8D4F-9438D8D696EC.webp I have been to the track several times with my 2.0 RWD. My best run so far was a 14.2. I’ve been waiting to see what other 2.0 have been doing. Have you run your car yet?

No not yet. I feel ive seen your slips before. Are you the guy that has the NGM intake a custom exhaust?

No, i havent decided on what tune to get or what exhaust upgrades to do. I found a shop that will do a complete custom from manifold back. I might do that but i really want a tune also. I thought bryan2.0 had a berger tune not the racechip... I do need to see what stock times are or atleast dyno results. Im slacking sorry

Yes, I have the JB4. With just exhaust and intake I ran a 15.2. Good luck in your pursuit, please
post times once once you start running it. Cheers

The very one, I have the Velossa Tech Big Mouth Intake on its way to try next.

Bryan,

Thanks for sharing your results. Would you mind listing what you've done so far? Was this a JB4 on a certain map, plugs/gap, etc.? I tried searching and couldn't find a list. Thanks again.

I’ve ran on both map3 & 4 and have tried adding a few gallons of 100 octane gas as well. I honestly don’t remember what map I was running when I got that time.

NGM intake
Custom axle back exhaust with magnaflo mufflers
HKS plugs gapped to .022
Eibach Springs

O man, you custom the rest of your exhaust your in 13.9.

I hope to have the mid pipe done soon. I will get to the down pipe later down the road.

First update with Racechip RS on Stinger 2.0. Let me start by saying that I traded in my 2015 Optima (of 4 years) SX Turbo with 274 hp for the base Stinger. I've outrun a base Stinger about a year ago in the Optima and always wanted to know how the Optima would fare against a Focus ST.

I didn't have to wait for more than a day after installing the Racechip RS in my Stinger. While at a stop light with 3 lanes, a Focus ST made a U-turn from opposite side now headed in my direction. I'm pretty sure he saw me at the light with my bright parking lights on. He accelerated with his exhaust blaring.. .. now in my direction. Low and behold, he was at the next stop light in the middle lane. Of course, there wasn't a vehicle in the lane I was in. I thought about rolling to the light thinking it would change before I got there, but it didn't. I had no choice but to pull up next to the Focus ST which had aftermarket parts stickers, etc. I said to myself, here goes nothing which a tiny thought of GT remorse. The light changed and I went half on the throttle until I saw the red color of the STs hood through my front windshield.....and then I nailed it. That was the last time I saw the red paint until I looked back through the rear passenger's window. I could see he was trying to race and could hear his engine racing. I had also realized that as my Stinger changed gears, my rear tires chirped and the Stinger was off and gone. The time that I looked back, the ST was a full car length behind and then he gave up before reaching the next light. I can honestly tell you that before the Racechip install, regapped plugs and K&N drop in filter.....that ST would have ate me for lunch. GT remorse was put to rest after that. The Stinger was in Sport mode and the Racechip was set on mapping 5. I will try to get quarter mile times at a track later this Spring and possibly a Dyno Test. For now and at 1500 miles on the odometer, I will let everything gel for bit more and enjoy my new performance boost.

By the way, when the rear tires chirped, traction control was on.....and no Launch Control.

I just want to say, thank you for the story. I felt like i was there. Love it. Also thank you for the post. This helps alot.

You're welcome. I just find it hard to believe that I could add 40 to 50 crank hp without upgrading exhaust, ecu mod, etc....for a simple install of piggyback chip for $400. I'm almost certain that I am very near or over 300 hp at the crank when on mapping #5 and 93 octane gas with plugs gapped around 024. Looking forward to Dyno Test. I want to get to at least 2k odometer miles first.

Update: For the last week, I was focused on Gas Mileage. On the weekend, I took out the chip to see if I could feel the difference. Yes I did. First, without the chip, the car felt like a glove. Feedback with throttle, steering and handling was fully in my control. Perhaps, what Kia intended. Now with chip back in, when stepping on the throttle, I didn't know what to expect.....when boost would kick in for example. In the end, I could feel a difference with chip back in....in regards to acceleration and boost. For the last 5 days, I still didn't feel that I could hang with my former 2015 Optima SX Turbo. I started having thoughts of stop trying to make a 2.0 feel like more than it was. Just enjoy the superior handling, rear wheel drive, Sunroof Harmon Kardon system and good looks. Well today, I hit another break-in period. I could remember my Optima had hit it around 3k and 5k miles. I was not sure if I could feel or would get another break-in boost with the chip. Question answered! At 2,470 miles on the odometer....it hit big time. Acceleration, throttle response all increased considerably compared to my drive to work this morning It is nasty now! Grin was back on my face. I'm quite sure I'm around 300 hp and estimate I can run mid 5 second 0 to 60 times. My former Optima is now beat. Wow.....i can't wait for the last brake-in. Qtr mile track time and Dyno later this Spring.

Update to the update. I just wanted to clarify some things in my last message. First ,when I felt the change /next breakin on my way home, I at first thought it was just a one moment thing. I even drove past my exit just to see if had actually happened. Prior to last night, there were gaps, pauses and hesitation in my acceleration and passing. I went to bed wondering if the new boost in performance would be there when I drove to work the next morning ....and it was. Everything now seems linear now with no gaps or hesitation. Even in Smart Mode. Prior to yesterday when I have to pass, I would have to switch to Sport Mode. Now, I can pass very quickly in any mode. I have also noticed an improvement with my gas mileage. I am very satisfied at this point and look forward to final breakin performance boost around 5k odometer miles or sooner. whenever that

Hey guys 2.0 stinger with race chip RS . Havnt regapped plugs ran fine for first 300 miles was about quarter tank of gas expierenced hesitation and studded anyone else experience that ? Running 93 octane

Also seems with race chip rs car and turbo runs alot hotter anyone else experience that? Or is it a by product of not regapping plugs or after using after market plugs
