LAP3-PROSS ECU Tune in development

That comes down to your preference. Most of the gains are found from the ECU tune/Pro-tuner, meth injection system, and primary downpipes. FMIC itself is fine for stock turbos. The rest is more for sound rather than noticeable gains on performance. It comes down to your preference.

Thanks for the info!

Do you have Waste gate duty cycle control with your ecu tune?

This seems like a topic that gets brought up due to issues experienced by other tuning solutions on the market.
Without the wastegate duty cycle value changing, you won't be making more boost. We won't share much of our own data, but this would be a question for others to answer if you have a problem with their chip/ecu tuning. PNP tuning & ECU Tuning clearly have have different approaches to change the wastegate duty cycle value, and you shouldn't have issues with proper mapping.

If you have seen the trend of the estimated time between us and BTR, that's because we are waiting on the same exact thing.
We've known each other for a very long time, and the BTR's head tuner used to work for PROSS. So you get an idea.
ECU Tune R&D has been long completed for us, as you have seen from the results we have been putting down.
It's just a matter of waiting on the ECU Data encryption to our protect data.
It's hard to provide an ETA, which may change again. We expected this to be done sometime last year, and it didn't happen.

We couldn't wait for the encryption to be finished to show the platform what we are capable of. Thus, we got a few individuals we can trust with our tuned ECUs, and got the turbo upgrade done a few months ago. We will be doing another turbo upgrade on a Genesis G70 3.3T soon.

So there is a non compete waiting to expire? Is that what I’m hearing. How is the valve train doing at higher rpm? Also don’t take this the wrong way(you are the tuners not me) but it seems non beneficial without bigger turbos to shift higher as the power/TQ falls off pretty hard up top as it is. Lastly, the TCU firm shifting is cool but can you make it “faster” shifting? And the launch control improvement I think is the thing we are all after the most. 1.89-2.0 60 is not cutting the cheese. Thank you for answering my questions.

No. We all know no one here in the states can do anything with dirty cycle. I was just curious if Korea has that capabilities yet.

No neither of them are willing to release their tunes until full encryption is ready and available.

Interesting about the availability of the same tune (eventually) on the G70. Seems like that's where the hard core drag racers here will gravitate since that would save them a few hundred pounds, no?

Will watch the developments with interest.

Believe it or not the tests different car mags have done show the Stinger is a tad faster 0-60 than the G70.

Agree, is there any benefit to rev higher with the stock turbos?

Main interest for me with the TCU is to solve the launch, although the firmer shifts are a nice thing as well.

x3, I think LAP3 will get a lot of customers if they can fix launching and speed up shifts. Either that or we wait for a 2-step enabled solution to come out so we can build a little bit of boost at launch

Firmer shifts are faster. And im already at 1.82 60 foot but still room for improvement!

With the 1/4 ET and trap speeds you're achieving you shouldn't have anything limiting you from a 1.6 60ft, but here we are :p If you had proper launch control (~3500RPM with boost building before launch) you'd probably be low 11s.

There are a lot of “IF” with the Stinger!

Exactly what I’m saying right here. I know that firmer is faster @Tonkabob but have you driven a car with the newer zf8 transmission or a dual clutch (newer) they are much faster than our and without the jolting. That’s what I’m asking them for

That won’t happen lol .... we would need a transmission swap to that. I wish Kia would have Put a better transmission like a dual clutch or performance trans like the Audi RS3.

I honestly dont think the "jolting" you feel during shifts is soo much from the car but the piggyback you are using. I have a JB4 and you can feel it pretty damn hard sometimes. When I removed the JB4 and got the ECU update it is was really smooth. Once the JB4 went back on the jolting began again. I think @Angel felt the same thing after a certain firmware update.

I wouldn’t say never, but it is kinda stupid modifying this car to the point of almost spending the money on a rs3 or amg. So standby for parts for sale. There are some guys here locally that can’t stand the thought of being beaten by me and are content I’m in the stinger right now. But that’s going to change.

I realize all of that. Go drive a Porsche with a pdk or the gulia quadrifoglio and you’ll see what I’m wanting in a transmission. I don’t think it’s too much to ask, or maybe it is out of a Kia. (Standing by for the price comparisons in future comments by members)

This is probably for a different topic, but I wonder with those heavily moded and with a ton of $$$$ in the car if they don't regret not getting something else and sending less money on mods. Im almost at the point that I do. I have about 12-15K in this car, for that I would have likely got a M3.... The only thing the car still has that makes me feel ok is the nice hatchback lol.
