LAP3-PROSS ECU Tune in development

Certainly interesting if (1) it is ever offered for sale and (2) at a price Kia customers are willing to pay. The first item is probably the more critical than the 2nd if they can maintain the "first mover" position. Anyway, more frequent updates on cost and availability would be great.

Best,

Those who don't follow our facebook or instagram, here's a clip of LAP3 TCU Tune, slowly accelerating to show 7000-7500RPM shifts.

The owner of the 700BHP Stinger GT recently sent us a video clip to share with the community, racing against a high 10sec car, BMW M5 F90.
600WHP+ BMW F90 M5(4350lb) vs.
600WHP+ Kia Stinger GT2 AWD(4150lb) w/ LAP3 Twin Turbo Upgrade & ECU+TCU Tuning

BMW advertises the M5 ~600BHP, but it's highly underrated as it makes up to 625WHP stock on dynojet.

Cool. What’s the numbers on a stock Stinger? Are you guys going to release it soon?

Can you just buy the ecu/tcu tune?

What are the prices?

When we release them for sale, we will have price information available. Looks like it will be sometime during this Spring.
Do you have a estimated time? Like next month April or May?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Any general idea of what to expect with a car on 93 and no WMI?

If you have seen the trend of the estimated time between us and BTR, that's because we are waiting on the same exact thing.
We've known each other for a very long time, and the BTR's head tuner used to work for PROSS. So you get an idea.
ECU Tune R&D has been long completed for us, as you have seen from the results we have been putting down.
It's just a matter of waiting on the ECU Data encryption to our protect data.
It's hard to provide an ETA, which may change again. We expected this to be done sometime last year, and it didn't happen.

We couldn't wait for the encryption to be finished to show the platform what we are capable of. Thus, we got a few individuals we can trust with our tuned ECUs, and got the turbo upgrade done a few months ago. We will be doing another turbo upgrade on a Genesis G70 3.3T soon.

The power output is similar to the Pro-Tuner. You can expect 430-450WHP depends on bolt-ons with 93 octane.
Will it include a TCU tune as well? Will it make shift points at a higher rpm? Will launch control be set at a higher rpm?

We will see. We've already done TCU tune to shift a bit firmer, and shift at a higher RPM. I did mention it to our head tuner about higher rpm launch control tuning. When we get a customer who is willing to push the car with our TCU tuning, we will definitely look into that as well.

I'd rather do a TCU tune than ECU tune on this platform. Definitely looking forward to this

Looks like the WMI car runs just over 22 PSI. How much boost does the ECU tune with no WMI run?

This is great news! I hope you release the ecu tune soon. I hope you are able to package the ecu tune and tcu tune together on some type of package.

Keep us updated on here please with updates.

Every car is a bit different, but this G70 peaked 1.53bar(22.2psi) and tapered down to 1bar(14.5psi).

This particular Stinger made ~490WHP with peak boost 1.44bar(20.8psi) and tapered down to about the same 1bar(14.5psi) with our ECU tune.

The car will change boost by 2 psi based on IATs. Does your ECU tune let the ECU do its thing or do you override and keep the boost constant?
IATs in the 50s get the -2 boost and when you hit the 90s you get 2 PSI higher.

That logic is to prevent over-boost in winter, which is very common for Hyundai & Kia turbocharged vehicles so far. And most cars will experience overboost with a catless system, which is also extremely common with them. We map our own logic, so we don't have any issues with it. We'll have more information regarding IAT vs Boost when we release our ECU tune.

Will you be able to run the tune on 91 octane? If so, what whp would one expect with 91 octane, catless midpipes and an intake? And what PSI would you be pushing?

Can we talk about the WGDC and boost curves of the stock turbos as it relates to bolt on modifications and your tune? Are there any recommendations on things not to do etc?

That comes down to your preference. Most of the gains are found from the ECU tune/Pro-tuner, meth injection system, and primary downpipes. FMIC itself is fine for stock turbos. The rest is more for sound rather than noticeable gains on performance. It comes down to your preference.
