Stinger JB4 Pure Hybrid Turbo Testing

Terry wow I google up John Bushbaum scam and oh my god ... so many bad reviews and people that got screwed over ... don’t think all those people from those different forums are making all that up. I reccomend everyone to google John bushbaum scam and make your own mind for your self before doing anything ...warning there a lot of reading lol...it’s a bit scary to be honest ... but Terry how close you do you feel you are with Tunning for theses hybrid turbos ? My concern is will like race gas or wmi be required to be used ??

Lol agree ..... These hybrid turbos are not for us peasents ..... 6k for essentially modified oem turbos WTF ......and that’s not including the ecu tune ....... I don’t see these hybrid turbos being a big seller unless you one of those on top of the tax bracket / food chain .....at this point to get hybrid turbos you will need an ecu tune you might as well go with lap 3 ... bigger turbos .....I am curious to see when the ecu tune will be done to see what numbers it can put out ...

Contrary to some people's beliefs there's a market for people who want to go fast on mostly stock parts. I'd personally much rather go hybrids with a fully stock exhaust opposed to a full bolt on stock turbo car

Are going to pay 6k plus tune ? What’s the difference at this point regardless you have the remove the turbos and do the same work to install .... the lap will be full bolt on on stock parts ..... what really the difference when the value for the lap 3 will be a lot better for what you get .... either way you will void warranty so you might as well go big or go home at that point ....

Either way is going to be awesome. Hybrids setting the car at a cool 550whp truly will be . Running it through stock exhaust though? Sounds like self imposed destruction to me. Not overnight but eventually absolutely.

Hes not running stock exhaust.
 
Where are you getting 6 k from? Hybrids will be available at 3k soon enough and will only get cheaper. Pure is first to market so they can set their price but competing products are on the way.

I hope you are right !!! The ideal market price would be around 1.5-3 k to modify the oem turbos .....but I agree they are first to market so there charging an arm and a leg .....

GTR upgraded turbos are not even that expensive and thats a super car.........lets be real here guys....were getting taxed....no offense we drive a KIA no where near a supercar status....I do understand that the GTR been out a while but still....

Both my previous cars ran 11’s, the 15 had a Lund tune, Texas speed headers, Corsa exhaust, steeda intake, the 18 was stock except for very light wheels and some upgraded rubber. For 6k I could put a whipple on either and have a mid 10 second car. I’ll be adding a tune to my Stinger and upgrade the tires / rims and call it a day most likely. Mid 12s would make me very happy.

You think you would be happier going slower? I have never been happy with that.

That’s a lot of $$$$ just to upgrade some internals of the oem turbo ......4K ??.... On top there is no Tunning for these.... The JB4 does not work with these properly you actually need an ecu tune .... I don’t know I feel confident purchasing 4K turbos and no ecu tune .....

It is a lot of money, but when you compare it to similar platforms it is similar in price. I wouldn't upgrade the turbos until there is a complete tuning solution and a clear list of supporting mods required and several people who have tested it and shown the platform can handle it. Until then +/-450whp is good for me.
