What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Just giving an update with my paint stain after my service. Just got off the phone with Kia Australia who officially tell me..... They can't do anything. Of course not. That's exactly what I was expecting. They told me I have to take this up with the manager of the service department where the car was serviced, but yeah I'm still waiting for the tool to call me back and it's been almost a week. Looks like this fix is coming out of MY pocket. I am NOT happy and I'm going to be making a hell of a noise about this.

You have to go in face to face they won’t call you, but it does give you more ammo as to the crappy customer service you’re getting.

So assume its a stain caused by "something" you shoud be able to get a detail shop to wet sand and buff it out , it wont be into the color coat just on the clearcoat ..................have you tried talking to a detailer yet ? Its something you can do your self as well , try 1500 grit and water , lots of HOW TO vids on youtube. Good Luck

She has been to 3 smash repairers & all 3 say it’s potentially brake fluid or trans fluid & all 3 say a repaint is required

So assume its a stain caused by "something" you shoud be able to get a detail shop to wet sand and buff it out , it wont be into the color coat just on the clearcoat ..................have you tried talking to a detailer yet ? Its something you can do your self as well , try 1500 grit and water , lots of HOW TO vids on youtube. Good Luck

No I have posted this earlier. The stain has gone right through the paint. I need to get the bumper resprayed at a cost of over a thousand dollars. 3 smash repairers and a detailed have already tried to remove it and can't. They have also damaged the paintwork trying to remove it.

I would not recommend doing it herself besides she shouldn't have to.

I've seen bird poop ( seagull I believe ) stain through clear coat but saw a mobile detailer wet sand down to the color and they removed it completely and then applied a light coat of clear .............( this was on a BMW M3 at a dealer ) I feel sorry for her and certainly believe the dealer should honour a repair but at some point it must get fixed , just trying to add some support !

I know and we appreciated it! If i had my way i would be getting very nasty as i dont like getting effed over.

If the dealership won't make it right I would contact an attorney and find out what protections the law might provide. Only after that failed would I consider paying out of my pocket to fix it.

In the meantime I would flood their online presence with negative reviews and have every person I know do the same. Maybe a bunch of 1 star reviews on Google, Yelp, Facebook, etc will get their attention.

Clear is relatively easy to apply and detailers can do it , hell I just painted a new rear diffuser , prime , color and clear , multi coats and its a 100% match , but to make a spot application would require some experience to blend it and then refinish and polish ......hate to see stuff like this happen !!

Just got a call from the service guy from Kia. He first apologised for taking 6 days to contact me, where I told him that wasn't good enough to begin with. He then said the stain was NOT their responsibility. He said the mechanics thought it was caused by them and tried to wipe it off, but it didn't come off, and that if it was mechanical fluid it would have come off straight away. I then told him that I think they DID spill fluid and that it absorbed into the paintwork where I did not see it until two days later. I again brought up the photos, which THEY originally used to support their argument. I asked them to check the photos and there is NO stain in the photo, so I reiterate the fact that it very well could have set over the course of the day after they serviced my car after spilling fluid.

He refused to take responsibility. I told him I am taking it further. I am so pissed off to have to go through all this crap over and over again with different people to make them fix their problem!
