When I initially went back to see them about this, they tried to tell me it was either tree sap or someone had thrown Coke onto my car!
They either think you’re a “sap’ or they’ve been on the “Coke’ themselves.

Not sure how you can disagree with me saying I've paid less at mechanics outside of dealerships lol.No - they only inspected the brake fluid. They replaced the engine oil, oil filter, and injector cleaner only.
Actually, looking at what they DID do, I now see that even though the services are capped pricing, that is WAY more than I have paid at a private mechanics for similar servicing. I wont be returning.
I've already emailed Kia Australia earlier today about the issue. Will wait to see what they have to say before considering my next move.If the dealership manager is giving you the run around and will not make your Stinger right, don't waste your time with him in person. Call the KIA international hotline and file a complaint ... get the manager's email and bombard him with civilized updates about how you will not let this situation rest. I do think everything will work out for you.
PS. Deep scar on my Stinger from who knows where. Total repaint quote for the front fascia ... $780 from the paint shop that KIA uses in my town. Gonna wait a while till I tackle this blemish.

If need supporting evidence that your car is always well kept and that it was the mechanics fault, we have got your back. They don’t realise how damaging this could be for them if they don’t do the right thing. StingerGTSS will pull the pin and others will follow I’m sure.I've already emailed Kia Australia earlier today about the issue. Will wait to see what they have to say before considering my next move.
Oh that's a bugger about your cars' "blemish". I know exactly how you feel.![]()
That's really sweet to hear, but I don't really want @StingerGTSS to have to leave a centre that he is happy with just because something went wrong for me. I’m sure he would still do it anyway, I would. You don’t shaft Stinger owners. That's really sweet to hear, but I don't really want @StingerGTSS to have to leave a centre that he is happy with just because something went wrong for me. They have been good to him.

Add some Opt7 Aura LEDs. The purple selection makes the red stitching fluoresce.Put in my Lushwhips floormats, initial quality seems pretty solid.

Hi there @FitR6 , just read for the first time this morning the issues your experiencing with your Kia dealership service department, and the stain left on the front panel, i hope you manage to make them pay for there negligence and damage caused, and for the repair bill. That's really sweet to hear, but I don't really want @StingerGTSS to have to leave a centre that he is happy with just because something went wrong for me. Too late for @FitR6 , this time around, but PPF will prevent stains like that from reaching the paint. Of course, to secure the entire car requires full PPF, and that's a lot of expense. Most of us who have PPF only do the front (which in her case would have been enough; but less than full coverage is a crap shoot).Hi there @FitR6 , just read for the first time this morning the issues your experiencing with your Kia dealership service department, and the stain left on the front panel, i hope you manage to make them pay for there negligence and damage caused, and for the repair bill.
My first year service is coming up in March, and already worried about something like this happening to my Stinger, after reading your issues, i am definitely resorting to video the entire car, the morning just before leaving home, inside and outside, and in the engine compartment..., i am not taking my Stinger into service to come out with a free gift, like paint scratches, or dried up fluid on the paint or in the engine compartment, or greasy fingermarks left anywhere, i may even demand to check the car before i pay, politely of course., God knows how angry i would be at my dealership, if something similar happened to my Stinger..wish you the best to resolve this.
Yes but Murphy's Law always intervenes.... Whatever area I HAVEN'T covered will be the area that gets stained... I guarantee it. The upside is when they repaint the paint will be thicker and more chip resistant. Make sure you ask for extra coats.Yes but Murphy's Law always intervenes.... Whatever area I HAVEN'T covered will be the area that gets stained... I guarantee it. Lol.![]()
Will do. Cheers. The upside is when they repaint the paint will be thicker and more chip resistant. Make sure you ask for extra coats.
