So is that normal then Terry ? When this happens would the car feel like is jerking between gears ? Just curious

You can't feel it since it's not having any effect on manifold boost. The throttle movement in this instance means boost is starting to get close to boost target, as it approaches target throttle moves to intercept and regulate manifold pressure. Boost has to go significantly over target to get significant throttle closure that you might feel. It's all normal and working as it should be in the log.

Tonka's throttle closure issues or whatever he has going on with his flash tuning might be entirely different, I haven't seen useful data to offer a theory on his car.

there's dozens of dragy videos taken at the track verifying the accuracy of dragy. I've seen zero showing inaccuracies. But when all else fails it's a unicorn. Maybe a rainbow unicorn yeah that's it.

Let's unicorn your way in to the 11.8s! :)

Your car is a unicorn meaning its fast. That's a compliment.

Take the car to the track and provide the slip and problem solved .... To be honest I am not trying to seem like a hater or to discredit you by any means but I highly doubt you will get an 11 second pass at the track, but again you might have an unicorn and anything is possible. Just my 2 cents ....

I agree if he takes the car to the track an gets an 11 second pass on his mods he defenetely has an unicorn lol ... quite frankly I highly doubt he will get an 11 second pass at the track ....

Dragy is 100% accurate all the time! LOL. This was a -1% to -2% road BTW
WTF slope.webp

I mean there's a guy on the N54 forums right now running ~20 pounds of peak boost, and ~19 degrees of peak timing. Using meth and 0 cats. For traction he has 20" 295s.....

And he's .15 slower than you.

I'd say unicorn is about right?

Did he post draggy results? would love to see the breakdown on it. Maybe Stung had a bit of racing gas still in his car?

NOT MINE!

He did post Dragy results, but I don't see the correlation. Do you think that 295s are going to solve all traction issues on a 500+hp RWD car? His 60ft time is 2.07 and resulted in a 12.13 @ 119mph. If he got that down to 1.9 it would be easily in the 11s

No shit LOL .... look don’t get me started on my opinion about draggy and it’s accuracy lol ... I don’t want people to go berserk .... my opinion draggy should be use as estimate , and idea of where your at .... the track is actual, factual proven time .... but look I will stay out of the draggy conversation

NOT MINE!

Let's do the math. Take that 2.07 60' time, adjust it to a 1.88 60' time, take a conservative 1.5x multiplier (some guys use 2x), and that is around 0.285 seconds shaved. His 12.13 run would become a ~11.84 run.

Bro. Stop using this as an argument as it makes you look ill (in a bad way). Your Dragy screenshot clearly says it's invalid - what are you trying to prove?

I cannot see how he is getting that 60' time. I did 0-60 runs last night and I get ZERO wheelspin and I'm not even close! It can't be a driver thing. There is no technique to launch control and hold the gas down!

I think the problem is that 80% of the guys here have little experience with drag racing, evaluating engine data, track math, etc. This is probably their first rodeo. It would be fine if they were here to learn rather than trying to lecture those of us who know what we're talking about. It's just a shame not everyone here wants to learn. Like that guy who wouldn't accept that faster refers to trap speed and quicker refers to ET... lol.

You're all wheel drive? You must not be doing the launch mode correctly. Record a log of your launch and we can see what's holding you back.

Maybe you should teach your customer who has no cats and meth and is getting schooled by someone with just the jb4 intakes and dump valves.

I would love to. I will get you logs TODAY. I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade, I just want to know HOW or WHY. The only difference in our cars is he has cutouts and I have a downpipe, and I have intakes. If it's the cutout that is resulting in THAT big a difference, it's a huge upgrade.

I'd suggest anyone who cares about awesome 1/4 mile times to buy an AWD vehicle because the traction on RWD is really tough even with better tires. I'd take the RWD all day long for 1/2 mile races though.
