Lets talk tuning, piggy back vs ECU flash.

I saw this on FB as well and on top of the 250 rpm he is also able to launch at 8-9 psi vs stocks 0-2 is what i normally see.
Really? That’s great news wonder why they have not been talking much since there 1/4 record was taken , there working to beat it ... awesome that’s great news ....I know this will help a lot for the AWD ... I wonder what kind of times this will make In The 1/4 ? Tonka will you be getting your ecu updated for this ? And please post some times if possible even if their draggy times ...you would to see the real life results ...this could be a big improvement

For RWD I've always had the best times using launch control, but then limiting boost in 1st gear as needed to maintain traction.

Ahh, I wonder why I always thought using LC with the JB4 was ineffective. I think I even posted about it looking for help on where you suggested manually launching the car at RPM wise.

They are trying to take a new approach. I think the insults got old. There's one thing having a pissing match about people products and another when one person continually throws insults around. But i think we should just leave it at that.

I agree. If you check out his FB page @Angel they are posting a TON of videos on what they have been working on.

Do you think is better not using LC ... when I went to the track I didn’t use LC , I didn’t get chance too use it since some other cars broke down and I didn’t get that many runs ... but so far I been told that using LC improves 1/4 times , now I have not tested it yet.

I think learning the sweet spot for your mods and manually launching would be most effective or a tune that can compensate everything for you and set the appropriate limiter to launch it via LC.

Sucks man I don’t have Facebook lol .... I am still in the old ages .... I am not a huge fan of social media .... forums is as active as I get on social media lol ... well he’ll keep me updated if they do anything crazy ...

He is heads down working on the ecu right now. His goal is 11s for a stock stinger with tune (maybe only an intake) on pump gas and 11.5 to 11.7 for cars with mods.
I'll try out the new tune when he is ready but think i can do an 11.90 as is and get into the high 11.7s with my dp and wheels.
I'll wait for the new tune before i put on the dp and wheels so we can see what the tune can do.

I had my fb shut down for 6 months and turned it back on only for stinger stuff.

Tork just did a dyno pull at 27 psi. I'm sure we will hear more latter but that's crazy boost. He is going to dial it down of course. Looking at the boost and speed he held 27 psi to redline in 3rd gear.

Good stuff happening ... be nice to get that 0-60 down into the 3’s ... that’s ultimately my goal... not sure if it’s obtainable with jb4 though.. don’t feel like getting a tune on the car.. she’s still only got about 4400 miles on her...

On stock turbos? Wasn't he giving Terry shit for running 17-18psi a few weeks ago?

Curious to see if it's making power up there. I stopped around 20psi in our testing as power didn't seem much higher than 18psi. I think where there is room for gains if you don't mind the risk to the turbos is at higher RPM. We leave a heavy taper up there to keep turbine speed down until more is known about turbo reliability at higher speeds.

Its not making much power up there as the throttle is closing. I think he is just testing some new ecu settings.

I've run a a couple 3 sec 0-60s. Only one that I'm aware of.

Make sure he's reading boost in the manifold, not before the throttle body, otherwise it's a false reading. :)

Disconnecting the brake pedal switch short term is a known track trick for applications that limit brake boosting (like ours). It can work really well. Would be fun for AWD cars to test regardless of how they are tuned.

Damn that’s a nice run.... even if I can get really low 4’s I’d be happy.. I know if I achieve that the car could realistically get into the 3s if the damn launch control was set slightly higher

He was measuring both. 25-26 in the manifold.

I can't get my AWD to sit still using launch control more than a second anymore. It starts spinning the rear tires and car starts pulling through the brakes. But with the jb4 turned off it will hold until it shuts off LC on its own.

Interesting so you think the JB4 is not allowing you to fully use LC ?

Are you pushing the brake hard? Mine spin on occasion but think i could be pushing harder on the brake.
