I will try to answer your question on sections. The reason there using an ecu tune is better, that’s the reality especially for a setup like this of bigger turbos, big power. The reason there using a boost controller instead of the lap 3 pro is because a boost controlller is cheaper and there is no need at all for a lap 3 pro when they have an ecu tune. FYI Terry is the only person I heard in my life to use a piggyback on top of an ecu tune lol .... there is not need for a piggy back once you have a proper ecu tune seriously man ..... this is not to throw shade at Terry at all just for the record. Hope this makes sense ...This thread is literally for piggybacks vs ECU tunes. According to Lap3 their ECU tune will be off the shelf and sealed in a spare ECU so that no changes can be made to it. This seems like the perfect opportunity for someone who wants the best of both worlds to get an ECU tune and put the JB4 on top of it to fine tune for their climate / specific car. But to Terry's point, I don't know why they're not using the pro tuner to change boost levels instead of a separate boost controller.
