What did you pay for your Kia Stinger?

Wow you guys are getting some amazing lease prices. Nice job!

I am looking to purchase a 2019 GT and this the best the dealer said they can do:
$2,140 dealer discount
$2K Rebate - if I don't take their 1.9% finance rate. I thought that was supposed to be 0.9% or $2K cash? Are they BS'ing me?

So MSRP on this GT is $42,420 and their final quote was $38,280.
Are there any other incentives? Is the Conquest Rebate only if you currently own a Hyundai or Kia? I know Genesis has a Conquest Rebate if you drive a BMW/Lexus/Infinity/Merc. etc. How about Kia's Conquest?

How do I qualify for the Competitive bonus? What is that about?

Thanks guys! I need to know if I should settle for the $4K off and buy the car, or if I can do substantially better. I am in the NorthEast BTW. Maybe I should call some dealers further south and see if it's worth driving there for a couple of grand $ more savings?

2019 GT2 AWD Ceramic Silver / Red
$54,500 MSRP
$49,700 Sale Price - $6500 Lease Cash = $43200

I just leased a 2018 GT2 RWD for $35,800. No money down, all fees, taxes, title and registration rolled in, for $540 a month for 36 months on a 10K lease. Just so happened that this car was in a snowy place where performance RWD doesn't sell so well this time of year and a snow storm had the dealership closed for a few days so they were behind. I looked at the 2019's but it was going to be around $150 more per month because the Kia incentives are less and dealers are not motivated to heavily discount. While I like the surround camera the wireless charging and heated rear seats and other minor improvements were not enough overcome the $5400 over 3 years difference. I will probably buy out the lease - haven't decided yet.

That's pretty good discount for 2019. Which state?

Ohio. I was getting ready to take a 7 hour drive to Wisconsin to get one since no local dealers wanted to play ball, but one came through in the 11th hour.

They are either quoting you with non KMF financing or you don't meet the credit requirement for .9. I believe the kia website says as low as .9%. Just ask who the financing is through. If they aren't using KMF say you want to know how they will compensate you for using their lender of choice. They are getting a kick back from them after all.

Personally I'd travel for a car. I live in Austin, but I can save thousands by going to Houston or Dallas

What dealer? That’s a sweet deal, I live in Ohio so wouldn’t mind getting something that good!

2019 GT2 AWD Ceramic Silver / Red
$54,500 MSRP
$49,700 Sale Price - $6500 Lease Cash = $43200

Agree with the others - that's sounds quite good for a new/FY19 model - a $4800 dealer discount (to go with the lease discount). I bought an '18 GT2 AWD in May - got $3700 dealer discount - which was decent at the time, and I had to work 'em pretty hard for that (plus the $6500 lease cash).

I was about to post a novel, but I decided to rewrite it to be shorter.

I'm looking at getting a 2019 GT2 AWD w/ All Seasons. I have not test driven anything yet and only contacted a few dealers via True Car.

Dealer 1: $5,500 off MSRP, but no 2019s, so I write them off but use the offer as leverage elsewhere
Dealer 2: $50,313 (down from $54,175, $3862 off)
Dealer 3: $49,333 (down from $54,230, $4897 off)

Dealer 2 has a black car that matches my criteria, but I prefer a different color that easier to keep clean. They said they found a grey one that they could get for me with a deposit. I pressed them for a better price though and they said that's just what the manager requires them to send, but they're certain the manager would do better than $4k off. They are about 40 minutes away from me.

Dealer 3 has no 2019s, but can get a blue or silver one with a deposit. I pressed them for a better price but they said that's the best they can do. I asked about the $2k/2.9% and they said the rebate is included but not the rate. When I asked for clarification they said the rate offers can't be combined with the True Car price. They are about 20 minutes away from me. I'd actually pass them on the way to Dealer 2.

I currently have an appointment with Dealer 2 on Monday morning because Dealer 3 didn't get back to me until a few days after making the appointment. I also have a trade to negotiate on.

It seems like Dealer 3 has the best deal right now, but Dealer 2 could have some promise depending on how far they're willing to negotiate. There's also the issue of travel distance for maintenance.

All in I think I’m looking at around $34,500 after all the fees and taxes. Really hoping it doesn’t fall through!

I asked about the $2k/2.9% and they said the rebate is included but not the rate.

Those discounts - especially #3 - sound very good... but then the statement about the 2.9% sounds dodgy. I'd press him on that. Give him the ol' "know help me understand...". If you're financing thru the dealer, and they give you a much higher finance-rate, they'll be getting their discount $ back on the interest. Caveat emptor.

Ok, so he checked with his manager and it turns out he was wrong (surprise surprise), and the 2.9% is available for me. So I have an appointment to go in tomorrow and test drive an '18 on their lot, and then maybe talk about what '19s they have available and what they'll give for my trade in. Gotta make sure to bring both keys for my car in case they try to pull the ol' "we can't find your car key, why don't you keep negotiating while we look for it", and then I just hit the alarm button and find it right quick.

What do you all think of this? Also, a couple of questions. Does the lease buyout tax law apply to where you register the vehicle or where the vehicle is purchased? Also, is it smarter to pay the down payment to the dealer when you're coming to the lease terms or pay it to the lender after you do a lease buyout? Are there pros and cons for each?

All I'm going to say is I BOUGHT a 2018 GT2 AWD, and with no money down and their financing and my monthly payment is less....to own it.

Well, the high monthly payment in the quote is because it is for a 3 year lease, I believe. But correct me if I'm wrong, the monthly lease payment shouldn't be much of a concern for me if I'm going to do an instant buyout, because I'll only be making one of those payments. My real payment will be whatever is defined in the terms of my loan when I do the lease buyout.

I've never leased, but I believe you're right.

I got mine at Jeff Wyler Kia in Cincinnati. Crown Kia Dublin also agreed to a similar deal, but it was after I already picked up the car

They must have jacked your money factor waaaaay up to negate the "discount" they gave to you. Doesn't matter since you're buying it out, but wow.

Would inspect this deal closely. Destination on the car is set by Kia and I believe it's $900 on a 2018. Also, the lease cash on an 18 is $7700 for a RWD.
