Just wanted some feed back from guys running jb4. I’m just buying all of them and trying them out to see which on is best for me . Jb4 is awesome with all the extra stuff and fine tuning. I just don’t trust myself and don’t want to do wrong things and hurt something. I don’t know how Unforgiving jb4 is to non tech idiots like me
 
Let me tell you with RC and other mods I have. Mustang Camaro dodge Audi bmw they have all went down. Porsche 911 twin was only thing that really smoked this thing so far

FL I still don't even have 700 miles on my gt2....lol ...either im a hermit or have too many cars...But ive run map1 no plugs no fuel wires....pulled better than stock for sure...got me some plugs put in the fuel wires went to map2 with about 300 miles on her...and now she be pulling....so I wonder whats up with map 3?....go put 4 gals of e85 in her...and I think she's got maybe 500 miles on her and Oh yeah now this is where it gets fun....smoking tire fun....after 600 miles im thinkin lets go peek at map 5.....holy crap ....almost pulls like my z06...but without any noise...lol....so back to map3 for daily driving....its been raining for days so no more pulling till it dries up....what I like is if you drive sane you don't even know theres a tune..well kinda....the fuel wires and obdi connection are a must do along with the Bluetooth for full usage.... Wash
oh...I left out map5....this is the nutz right here,but I need some miles on the car first

I installed my jb4 last night with Bluetooth. I did not do the obd or install firmware update yet. My issue is it connects to my phone but the gauges aren’t working. It says on I’m map 1 Anyone or terry have idea on whats wrong? Tia

U need to hook up the obd so it can read everything!!

You're not alone, I have the same problem on my G80 Sport, those gauges freezes randomly or doesn't show anything except the map I'm on (map2 in my case) and boost gauge.

Heads up sa341 is a sports mode killer.dont get it done if you like your transmission to be aggressive. How it was set from factory. Trying to get mine reversed back to factory settings. They are trying to figure out how to do it. Any of you very smart guys out there have any ideas?

If boost logs but the other channels don't that normally indicates the OBDII cable is loose or maybe defective, we can send you another OBDII cable to rule out a defect.

Need some help for my friend(non tech savvy) before he switches his JB4 for a custom tune.:unsure:

He explained that his boost levels fluctuate a lot under acceleration. He took me for a ride and I could feel hesitation on map2 so I had him run a few logs. I could see boost drop repeatedly throughout each gear, and really bad when accelerating in 6-8 at low rpm.

The log from lower rpm in 6-8 looks like a heartbeat and boost drops repeatedly while accelerating.:confused:

His ran smoothly on map1 until he switched to Denso plugs at .022. Is this misfires from new plugs, or could it be coils? Any tools or way to personally test each plug/coil without re-pulling them? Like old school ignition/voltage testers, but for DI?

I’ll try to get him to send me logs to post since he doesn’t visit forums. But hoping my description will suffice. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated and thanks in advance!

Is that the transmission logic TSB? I've had it done and can't tell any difference. What kinds of differences have you noticed?

Hey Stung Just thinkin out loud.....wonder if has something to do with wastegate actuator springs...and or the ECU messing with them too? just a tossing it out there

Can't provide tuning advice without logs. Have him email them in or post to n54tech and we'll check it out.

What app version are you using?
 
Can't provide tuning advice without logs. Have him email them in or post to n54tech and we'll check it out.
He already sent me these screenshots of a log but will also tell him to email it.

I can see the boost drop and the ignition looks odd compared to logs other people posted. Again any advice or suggestions for testing individual plugs/coils would be greatly appreciated.:thumbup:
