Burger Tuning JB4 for Kia Stinger!

What did Kia say when you asked them to install another brand of plug? 24 should be a good gap. I had my stock plugs gapped to 24 for my jb4 and have run map 5 no issues.

Eqxact email below.

Kia's allowed time for replacing the plugs on a Stinger V6 is 2 hours so the cost would be $308 if you were to supply the plugs yourself.

Wow. That's crazy.

And just so I'm on the same page here, we need to change the fuel trim specs to what's listed in the picture on that forum on the first page, correct?

Yes those are part of the directions when adding in the fuel control wires. :)

Thanks. Also, just want to say thanks for such a great product that easy to install and use. Really lovin it and makes the car even MORE fun. Looking forward to a few more bolt-ons and whatever else you guys come up with!

Anybody notice there a lot of black soot coming out of the tail pipe after the chip? Just want to know if normal.

@Terry@BMS

I Just ordered my JB4 tune, spark plugs, fuel wires and bluetooth connection last night and I have a couple of questions, I apologize if this has already been answered as I read much of this thread but may have missed it. I have 630 miles on my GT2 AWD stinger, should I wait until I get to a certain amount of miles to install the tune? Also, can you run apple carplay in the background while using the JB4 app?

Thanks in advance.

U can run the tune, but most people wait at least 1000mi. before actually running it hard

It's normally a good idea to wait 200-300 miles just to make sure there are no obvious factory defects with the car before you start changing things. :)

Is the JB4 easy to install alone?
Does it require special tools?

Anybody getting good mpg with a e85 mix? Doesnt show it on the dash and normally I'll have to gas up already.

First time out to the track with JB4 yesterday, managed 12.6 mainly due to hot weather and bad traction, I managed 12.7 on a completely stock car last winter and I am sure I can run 12.3 as is in better conditions. I was trapping almost 115mph on map 2, while other cars trapping +/-112mph were running 11's.

My car has JB4, 02 wires, meth and thats it.

I am personally done going to the 1/4 track until a solution for the TCU is addressed. The car definitely has 11's with its current power with good tires and a proper launch. Very frustrating looking at the graph and seeing partial throttle after launch while I am pressing so hard I feel like my foot is near the radiator. I understand KIA has done this to control wheel spin and get better times on the street, but a solution should be available by now to give full power and build some boost from the launch. At this stage just adding power will barely make any difference to the 60 foot and the 60 foot is one of the key areas to improve your 1/4mile time.

Terry, I am sure you are aware of this. Anything in the pipeline?
