No, nothing didn’t even elaborate on the oil difference.Did they say if there is any difference with the new diffs?

I am also waiting for the new oilNo, nothing didn’t even elaborate on the oil difference.
Now that you mentioned it I did have that symptom before my differential was replaced. That’s what made me take notice that something was unusual and started paying closer attention.I am also waiting for the new oil
Has anyone with the diff problem noticed any more unusual skipping behaviour from the rear end over broken roads
I know that mine (and others) has always had a tendency to walk sideways over rough roads but it seems to be a bit worse now that the diff is playing up. I could be imagining it all so just curious if others have noticed it as well
Nope. Stock suspension for me.Just read the first page so this may have been noted....
Did either of you have the car lowered with a spring kit?
Hey mate, just want to ask you, I've just done a little over 1000 km & just started noticing some whining types noise, its especially noticeable when at low speed (up to 30km/ph).. is it diff noise noise you think?.. maybe i need to take it in?Sorry for your diff problems guys & yes I’m hopeful these are isolated incidents, but thankfully Kia a has taken responsibility for the issues & acted in good faith to rectify the fault unlike other manufacturers who run a mile & deny, deny & deny.

Hey,An update. My fix is getting done next week so I thought I would get the head mechanic to do a run and confirm what I have been saying re the rear end moving around more than normal before getting the oil changed. Within 100 metres and a roundabout he knew there was an issue and the longer he drove the more it showed.
I now have the movement logged on my service report and we'll see what happens after the oil is changed
So anyone with unusual twitchy rear end behaviour (other than the normal) should be aware that the diff might need an oil change at the very least even if they don't have the normal grinding noise / feel (which mine does)
Gents, with all the differential issues...can you let me the born on dates of your Stinger's please..?
The LSD (Limited Slip Differential) clutch plates are grabbing too much, some so much that they overheat and fail.
Kia is going to add some or more slip additive.
The new fluid probably has some or more slip lubricant added to the fluid.
It would be normal to use an additive for locking diffs, but who knows if Stingers got it or not.
Owners of RWD GT2's and any RWD GT or GT1's with the $200 LSD (Limited Slip Differential) option should have the fluid drained, inspected for metal, and replaced with the latest specified fluid. Be sure there is a slip additive included.
Gents, with all the differential issues...can you let me know the born on dates of your Stinger's please..?
Mine and most I’ve read about are 12/17 builds, but unsure if that’s the only ones affected.I second this motion...
