I bet it is. Plastic has been turning up for months on mine too. I just found a strip above my hatch window, and more covering the back doorway scuff guards, and a rectangle of plastic at the back of the armrest well, just c. a month ago, almost five months into our "relationship".Rocket I see a plastic film way underneath if my eyes don’t deceive me. found this serial number, google search was /is baffled. Looks like a protective layer same as a new cell phone it seems.I bet it is. Plastic has been turning up for months on mine too. (Edit to add: LOL! I got suspicious and went out and checked the very spot. And what did I find?

the number on mine was in the little white tab on the plastic sheeting......you can actually see the same white tab on your pic.I didn't see any serial number. And that was not remotely like protective film on a screen. It was just easily removed film like the other overlooked bits. Clear as day, in your pic your film was already peeling off, otherwise it wouldn't have showed up to be noticed by
See what? Oh, that. Missed it. Serial number to WHAT, exactly? The airbag? Bubububig deal.the number on mine was in the little white tab on the plastic sheeting......you can actually see the same white tab on your pic.
Have we discovered the serial number for all those plastic protective patches? What can we do with this esoteric knowledge?prolly just a number for the sheeting....who knows.....google didn't,lol

I suggest contacting Kia with the "serial number" and lodging a case complaint. I am sure that @rocket23 still has his. I balled mine up and binned it. No, I am not going to unravel it to fetch the serial number for you. I am sure that Kia will send you a "set" of protective plastic patches, which you can then put where they belong, and then remove them to your heart's satisfaction. Then you can stop complaining.I’ve got no plastic in mine. Not a bit. Nothing. No plastic anywhere.
It’s not fair. You Americans get everything. First it was headphones, now it’s free bloody plastic!
I’ve had a gutful! Who do I complain to about this blatant injustice!
Never is a long time. But it is possible that you were not soon enough be one of the "Ten Thousand" (first buyers in the US). Those elites completed the ranks sometime in July, I believe.never got my headphones.......btw.

Ask your gf or wife? There is a LOT of plastic, more than enough.Lol. I’m not game to ask for suggestions as to where they belong might be.
