Your next car after our beloved stinger?

I just get bored easily. The 20 months I owned my Stinger is the longest I've ever owned a car.

How do you compare the cars you've had since? I was pretty sure at the time (2019) even that the Stinger would be my last ICE car - just don't know if my ideal track-capable EV is out there yet.

Edit: I'm like the anti-Kamauxx. I have owned a grand total of 4 cars from 1990-2019, 3.5 years so far on the Stinger..

If (when) the Stinger goes away, I'm into dream car territory. GT-R is probably top of the list, then an RS5. Depending on how crazy and old I get, I still want to pick up an original Countach or a H1.

Dang. Yeah, while I'd love to spend $100K+ on a car, not sure the old wallet would appreciate it that much.. If I lived in a country with a better safety net, maybe..

Ok new "Modern Classic" has been made and its a beauty
EVO37

But the bummer is it starts at 550k euros
So yet another cool ass car that wont sell because its to friggin expensive.

If i was a rapper i would drive one lmao

One of the comments said that was most likely a theater commercial... Who had tv's in 1935??

^^Hey if you got the $$, why not. In my younger years the bikes kept my attention. Cars didn't really matter. I went through 3 bikes in a span of about 4 years. The whole time I had the same car. The 4th gen camaro which barely got driven. All bikes were sold with 40K+ miles.

Coincidentally, I've owned three 4th gen Camaros. Somehow they've all been 1998s. One was a V6 that I bought when I was 18. The insurance rates killed me so I had to get rid of it.

I wanted an m550i ... or the 650 ... but bmw tt v8's aren't notorious for being easy on the wallet, If we didn't get the stinger in 2020 our other option was going to be the model 3 perf. That's funny because the back of the EV6 is my favorite part of it... the front is fine but meh.. but everytime i see the back of one i just want one so bad.. I just wish we got the cool integrated amber turns in the silver part vs just having the red part duped as the turn signal.. Same with the ioniq6.. it's the back end with that cool lit spoiler and tailights that do it for me.. the front again is... not bad but it could have been executed better

Man, I think the front of the EV6 is the best angle. I was taking a look at the ones available near me and they're all in the mid $70k range. I surfed the EV6 forum a bit today and a lot of the owners are getting rid of them for Teslas. Their biggest complaints are the charging network and Kia's software.

After the Stinger, the BMW just felt too big for me. The Audi was nice size/handling wise but was too slow. I added a JB4 (anyone want to buy a really dusty/cob webby JB4 for their Audi/VW hit me up) and enjoyed the hell out of it. Earlier this year when gas prices went stupid I decided to order the Tesla. I got lucky and ordered in early June, right before the quarter ended, so my order only took 3 weeks. The Tesla is enjoyable enough. It's kind of like driving a big ass bumper car. It's hard for me to really judge it though, since I've only driven it 1,270 miles since accepting delivery June 25th.

The Tesla is the 29th car I've owned since 1998 when I was 16 and worked all summer to buy a pos barely-working 1988 Cadillac Fleetwood that someone had donated to the Salvation Army.

Surprisingly, there are a lot of people who track their Model 3s. It's pretty light for an EV and the aftermarket support is really strong, so you'd have no problems finding suspension/brake parts. Acceleration mods are completely out of the question.

Would you recommend a m340i 2020+? Since having a m550i which is larger, the m340i seems to hit the sweet spot. I know one is a V8 and other straight 6 but as a straight line speed kinda a guy, both similar a tad.

Can't decide between a m340i or a supra.

I wouldn't recommend it simply because I've never been in one. They seem nice and they definitely have the speed. Big aftermarket support for them as well. When I sold my BMW people were saying that the dealerships were starting to flag more cars with modded ECUs, so if you want to tune it the Supra might be the way to go (not sure how strict Toyota might be about that).

I'm watching the reviews of the newly released EV6 GT. I do hope that if the Stinger IS going away this year that Kia brings it back as a version of the Ioniq 6 EV sedan that Hyundai is releasing next year.

got myself a project car! 2003 is300

i figure the kid will be older, wife will have the "family" car, so corvette or new 300Z.

Very nice :)
It’s a crazy fun car!!! Just got new rims and tires on that bad boy! A nice stretch and the welded diff work wonders when it comes to doing some spins and hitting curbs

The dream is to keep the Stinger and get another to daily. Hate to say it, but I kind of want a SUV/crossover (whatever you want to call it) that's maybe an EV. I actually really like the EV6. An EV6 GT would be a dream.

I typically keep my cars for a long time, sometimes too long LOL!! But I am thinking if I do replace the Stinger it will be with an EV. Although, I have been watching i8 youtube videos for months now. I think its a nice middle ground between ICE and EV and that design is timeless. It still looks newer (on the outside at least) than most recent cars. I still have a 2001 330ci in the garage that is a bit of a project...not sure if I am going to bring it back to life as I am not much of a DIY'er. But my son and I love the car . I will continue to enjoy the Stinger for as long as I can!

I plan to keep mine for about 5 years.

Following that, potentially an IS500 if they are still around. I had a 2008 ISF many years ago and I miss that Lexus V8.

Probably only 2 more generations of fun gas cars in the works… Have to plan wisely.

I’d also like to pick up an E60 M5 for a project. I rather love that V10.

Nice! EV's have made me realize something. Cars are more than just about 0-60 and 1/4 times. Dont get me wrong, those are still awesome, but so much more goes into making the driving experience fun. If you love V8's now is the time to grab one before they're gone. Mercedes just dropped a hybrid 4 banger into their C63S in place of the biturbo v8, what is the world coming to.
