I did. Bought an '18 GT. Drove it for 5 years. Got the chance to get a Tribute and I jumped on it as there's no other car I'd rather have in that price neighborhood.View attachment 83302

That is so cool. Good that you took a pic of both together before you sold the GT. And, no plate in front on the Ascot Green, that is good too.

Ours '23 came by way of Oklahoma, so the front plate holder was unused in the glove box and the front bumper unmolested.

Truth be told, I would've been okay if the holes were drilled, but since they weren't, I definitely prefer to keep it that way.

Definitely. Was always a fan of the Stinger upon its release and super happy to be able to grab a 2023 GT2.

Well my 2019 GT2 AWD sits at 85k and PAID!!!
I'M craving a coupe however to compliment my boy .
A few options are the E53 amg coupe, LC500, maybe RC 350 fsport ......then the bimmer contenders M850i /M8 and M440i/ M4 ..... after an exhaustive search, the M440i coupe is in the lead!!! Does any other Stinger owner have more to add in this search?
The M440i is offered in a Gran coupe which is a DIRECT replacement for Stinger and wouldn't want TWO very nice 5dr hatchbacks .....

For anyone who doesn't run a front plate but has an unfortunately drilled bumper, here is a surprisingly easy "fix". $8 nylon plugs from Amazon, plus some touchup paint -- for a white/black/grey car you can probably try a generic paint pen to see how the match is before you pay for actual Stinger paint. Their size makes them disappear surprisingly well, especially for dark colors.

And to answer the original question, I would buy another Stinger if they revived it with the 3.5, or slightly bigger turbos / less restrictive manifolds...say something that spooled at 1800 instead of 1300, had 400+ hp stock, tunable to 550ish on stock hardware. Or a twin-turbo V8...

Congrats on paying it off! If it were me, I'd look at either Lexus coupe and keep the Stinger.

I wouldn't bother with M440i Gran Coupe at all if my intention was to keep the Stinger. Why have two 5dr hatchbacks?

Also, what about a lightly used Porsche Cayman? Or do you need a 2+2 coupe?

M440i is a great contender. B58 with zf is light years ahead of the the stinger. The driving experience alone is worth it. It's a completely different league.

I would avoid e53 and rc 350. The rest are amazing choices and the M cars are supercar numbers.

Thanks .....yeah that was my point .....the m440i is offered in a Gran coupe but duplicity isn't needed..... I'm keeping Stinger OR I'd sell and grab a gran coupe..... but I think my BEST option is keep Stinger and getting the M440i Xdrive coupe as my fun car....LEXUS makes bulletproof cars but interiors lack from what I've seen. Something about Porsche doesn't sit well to me and yes I'd still like a 2+2 style coupe

Thank you...... I still need some BUTT DYNO time but I've only read great things about B/S58 and ZF combos ......forgot to add S5/RS5 to my list ....

This all started when I dreamed of an Aston but other than the nameplate, not much gained over some of one's on my current list especially considering price and cost to own factor

Definitely should.

S5 avoid. Stinger is almost a direct replacement aside from the interior where S5 shines. Rs5 is great as well but overpriced for what it is. Would rather look into an M car for the msrp value.

Thanks for seriously good feedback!!! Curious but what are your reservations about E53 amg coupe? Or Lexus RC 350? I won't be tracking any of them and I like design .....love M440i design with unique stance and grille ..... but both rc and E53/E450 Have decent lines and quality offerings.....

I'm truly wanting to hear your thoughts as to why....all which helps !!!

Performance wise, e53 isn't all that compared to the stinger, a tad quicker. For msrp they go for insane amount so definitely not worth the value. Rc350 would be the cheapest and the weakest, a lot slower than stinger and the interior is very dated.

The m440i is controversial in the exterior but started to grow on me on how aggressive it looks.

Best looking out of the bunch you mentioned imo would go to lc500 and the m8/m850i.

If willing to spend another $25K I might consider a 22 MB E450 but doubt it would have as many features. I would also probably consider a G70.

I just traded in my 2022 GT-LINE RWD for the 22 GT-1 AWD and I'm very happy I didn't get anything else. I love this car too much

Everything including massage seats..... 4matic + , all the safety features, a bit better fit and finish too ...... more plush feel
