My sense GT SS is you might be the boring part of equation here. This vehicle looks like a blast for those of us who actually use off road capability. I’m getting one of these for my place in Hawaii. Perfect for hauling boat to marina or headed to secret beaches!

"long wheelbase" and "legendary off road capability" don't go together well.

Maybe your idea of "actually use off road capability" is hopping a curb at the supermarket or parking in the grass at a soccer game. This thing will get high centered at the very thought of tackling a Moab trail. And that departure angle?!

Someone will be yanking you out of a pothole of one of your "off road" adventures for sure.

I do agree that it will sell well here though. Because there are two definites with U.S. auto buyers, they love trucks and they love pretending to be off roaders, which you just proved.

Did I say anything about doing Moab in a pickup? Nope. It’s a pickup truck son. Sometimes you have to compromise for day to day practicality. This Jeep truck offers great capability for pickup and for those tougher dirt trails that other pickups drive too it’s going to be superior. And 7600 lb towing in smaller vehicle is awesome. Agree nothing will beat true off-roader but for us who want a smaller utility truck that has better than average off-road capability.

Not bad for stock pickup! With lift and some bigger tires it would be very cool off-road truck!

And I’m first guy to laugh at unskilled off-roaders ..so I’m with you. I’ve taken stock AWD mommy mobiles (Jeep Grand Cherokee and even my lowered AWD Dodge Durango RT) on trails where serious off-roaders go (2 wheel teeter totter stuff). and have never high centered or been stuck. So don’t worry for me I’ll be ok.

A more objective assessment. A very capable pickup truck with off road cred of Jeep. Reason I see it as a hit as there many of us who want practicality of pickup, double the tow rating than 3500 lb from wrangler . And having a convertible pickup is fun too! I’m surprised no other manufacturer has anything close to this vehicle. They won’t be able to keep these on lots . The people at Jeep just get it. So many fun touches as well. Removable storage, rechargeable and portable Bluetooth speaker, fold down front windscreen, removable doors, fun fun fun! Low ratio rear end, electronic detachable swaybar, proven Jeep suspension, does give this pickup a leg up on other pickups.

My daughters partner has one with a bit of additional work done, cam etc. that thing is a beast & sounds like a V8 Supercar.
