Why Chevy SS was a total failure

The vents on the hood are functional. I'm glad I got one. And yes I want that much of a sleeper car
Welcome to our forum.
Ok , so the vents on the hood are functional, good to clear that up. Did you replace the Chevy badges with Holden badges ?
Funny how some owners here replace the Holden badges with Chevrolet badges. Anyway, nice car, i almost purchased a 2017 Holden Commodore SS-V 6.2ltr LS3 V8, then the Stinger showed up.

Welcome aboard, @KR190! Thank you for signing up. Yes, there's definitely good reasoning for wanting a fast car to be such a sleeper. And despite it looking somewhat mundane, it was a highly desirable car here in the U.S. Come to think of it, cars like the Malibu and Camry - which have been particularly "vanilla" throughout history - sell quite a bit...

Yes replaced the Chevy badges with Holden. What I like the most there not that many running around. At least in the US.

As the owner of an '05 GTO and an '08 G8 GT, I concur that Holden makes (made) fantastic cars. Both of my Holden cars have had no wrenches on them, ever, just tires, battery, filters and fluids. 191,00 on the G8 and 96,000 on the GTO. I'm trading the G8 for the Stinger.

I looked at the SS but it was essentially the same as my G8 but over $15,000 higher. The G8 was (is) still going strong and I didn't "need" a replacement. And of course now the trend is toward the UV's (utility vehicles) and away from sedans. Booooring. Stinger GT on order.....

:laugh::laugh: I was laughing out loud when i read your comment about how SUV's are 'Booooring', ..haha:laugh::laugh::laugh:

My First Time Experiencing LS Power // Chevy SS Review

Don't even go there, Sarah's review on the Chevy SS is very informative, im surprised how much knowledge about cars, particularly this Chevy SS she has, and she is driving a manual like a pro..:),

For those members who think i posted this video just because Sarah is kind of HOT, you are so WRO.., Well alright, she is nice looking, and there is something about a hot looking woman driving a manual, in a Chevy V8, and knows about cars, and she has difficulty saying the word COMMODORE, then she wishes to say it like an Australian girl would, and it sounds so PRETTY...hahahahaha.:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Not your average car reviewer! She does make it interesting... :)

Also the fact that GMNA closed down manufacturing in AU because our Govt. wouldn’t subsidies them any more, now offers Euro Junk, 10 year old Craptivas etc. Ford did the same, killed off manufacturing the Aussie made falcon with 50+ years heritage here as a not relevant vehicle then has the gall to offer US made Mustang....really? What Ford fans should have done is shunned it on mass & let it fail.
At least KIA is offering new relevant vehicles full of tech with world leading warranties & competitive pricing, they are setting their own standard & not following the pack.
AMWU did their fair share to end GM Holden manufacturing in Australia, too. I think it's an absolute disappointment that there are no more Aussie-built cars (especially Holdens and Fords), but for such a relatively small market with no economy of scale, it's shocking to me how recklessly they demanded concessions from their employers. (Especially in light of how good they had it!)

Followed a red Holden-badged SS around the DC beltway for a bit this evening. Looked good (I like sleepers), sounded great, and the driver handled traffic very well, without being reckless. Bravo!

What about the Auto Workers Union & their Health Plans, didn’t this almost send GM broke?

Nice, there everywhere here so you get used to to it....lol.

Probably...but unless I misunderstood you, isn't that AMWU? I am not aware of any other auto workers union in Australia.

Oh, lol...the AMWU in OZ is Amalgamated Metal Workers Union, how uncanny.

Wow, all 6 Chevy SS owners are really mad with Doug!

I can only imagine how much hate he would have gotten if his Stinger review was negative!
