Who is Running Catless? What Temps Are You Seeing? What Tuner Box Are You Using?

Got it. If the WGs are moving normally and not seized you probably need 15% base WGDC reduction to get it back in the ballpark. The likelihood that a flash tuner is going to resolve this for you remotely with you mailing the ECU back and forth, seems really slim. Issues like this might take 20 revisions to sort out.

I'd go back to the stock downpipes and see if things return to normal. As is you're likely to crack a piston as is.

Ya i know thats why i was shocked you wanted me to run a full dig at 100% throttle on map3. I figured id blow something and be up shits creek on my own.

At full throttle the ECU may go in to adaption mode and learn down WGDC on it's own. I personally would throw in race gas and see what happens. But that's just what I would do. I'd be relying on my own judgment to let off in time looking at the data in the app real time. In retrospect probably not worth the risk to you.

Maybe you could try the VALET map to see what happens but probably it will instantly ECU over boost "fault" as that mode has the ECU seeing more than actual boost.

Glad this is about being catless in cold temps :) Like terry said ill check on the Wastegate, but i dont think theres an issue there. Its likely i just need a tune and out modified my car for the JB4.

You're going to need an advanced logging tool that can monitor for knock in all 6 cylinders and fueling in both banks, as well as a progressive water/meth controller anyway, so just use the JB4 for those purposes after you flash it.

Im not terry. Its not worth $600 for logging. Ill sell the FSB and JB4 together and hope to get about $500-600 for them packaged. That will cover the cost of the snow performance controller and put some money back in my pocket. Ill keep it until this weekend when i slap some cats on and check my plugs. After that map 3 pull i had some top end break up so im concerned doing that toasted a plug...

LoL... you know what the WGA tables look like?

I am going to clue you in on something, there is a reason they all default to 19 psi when there is an issue ;) and its not because the WGA tables inside the ECU.

You have enough knowledge to be dangerous, but not enough to fool a tuner who knows this ECU very well.

There is know it all Johny boy again, right on queue...Doing exactly what I asked this thread not do...Piggyback vs Flash fuckery.

I'm not trying to fool anybody. I am sharing accurate, well known info that all eWG cars have a map profiling the opening curve based on a known hardware characterization defined by the OEM, and DC ( how often and how long ) is used in boost control strategies based on the that known map profile. Are you debating that? Do you have access to those tables? Cause I'm sure the OP would surely send you his ECU to correct it and solve his problem. I mean you've only been working on stage 2 for like a year. You've been running your personal car cat less for at least that time, yet you don't yet offer DPs, or a tune for them? You must have it all mapped out right, but are keeping it secret? Not like you are known to post videos and endless social media rants for you every accomplishment?

I'm sure at this rate WGDC control will be added to the JB4 before you "release" your stage 2, so unless you are ready to help the OP now, stop with the chest thumping, and the phony posturing. Or Maybe stop being a consistently arrogant dick, and be helpful and your rep would be better. OP is looking for help. You've added nothing but your usual chicken little " ONLY I KNOW THE TRUTH " bullshit. Can you help him, or do you want to make this post about the 1 car you have running fast times..yadadada.

I'm trying to help the OP with a situation others are not seeing give similar HW config. We are still in early days of cars getting modded as far as some of us are to date. Int the next year we will have lots more cars modded this far and beyond. We as a community need ACTUAL solutions, not EGOs. New rule on here should really be help of f*ck off. #HOFO!

Short fuse or dynamite personality? You decide.

...okay, I'm going to #FO now.

Yup its just soo damn early for this car still. Im am already getting tired of being catless again tbh. My car smells like im using fragrance de oil. lol. Cats will be put on problem solved until we get some tunes ready and available.

I really want to shout out KLR for spending a ton of time looking into everything and providing advice!

NP man. WE should all be here to help. It's too bad you can;t just bolt the OEM midpipes back on with the X-Force. If it was a little warmer, I'd bolt mine back in to see what it looks like with primary DP, catted secondaries. If I head out to the country in the next few weeks, I'll do that and log to see what its looking like. Hang in there. In my view being on the leading edge means you take some set backs, but if others can learn from the mis steps, then it worth while.

Pushing performance without logging knock in all cylinders including 2-6, which no other logging tool offers, increases risk. Running WMI without an active safety that can monitor flow, knock, and fueling in real time during runs and abort, increases risk.

At the end of the day spending a few hundred on good tools can sometimes save you thousands and a lot of time later. Not just that though but being RWD you're going to need to be able to adjust boost reduction at the launch on the fly to optimize track times.

Disclaimer I am stating my opinion, not personally attacking anybody or choosing sides. I agree with the bear4life I think you need to go back to your oem primary down pipes. Eventually decide what route you want to go. Get Tork ecu tune or another ecu tune. Then decide if you want to sell the JB4 or keep it. I assume your going to sell it lol. But if for any reason you decide to sell the primary DP look no further, just let me know.

I agree with you KLR has helped me numerous times. He has helped with when I needed instruction to remove antenna to get my roof wrapped and removing the front and rear bumper. I am grateful for the times he has helped me. Thanks KLR !!!

Ok... back to our televised program. Problem is solved.

I just dont think anyone has the availability to help a Chicagoan in the winter going catless.

Simple solution add a little back pressure. No hardware issues, no installation issues, WG is working properly, it just cant catch up with the temps and catless. Simple solution was closing the damn muffler valves so the mufflers give it that bit of back pressure it needed.

Map 2 full throttle was done and felt good. Obviously not as good as 25 psi.... but I dont want to replace the motor or turbos yet lol.

so will you try again when its warms up or are you done with catless primaries?

I'm still catless. I have an evc set up with the varex mufflers. So opening them up is a no go. Closing them adds a bit of back pressure enough to slow down the wgdc and keep boost controlled. I dont think I'll open them up unless I'm revving until we have a some sort of wg control.

Where the hell did I put my credit card again..

I've never heard of BTR. Is this something we should look forward to?
