Where to find Stock Stinger badge

It's hard to see on picture but you can feel the waves in the paint

Bizarre, we had someone else commenting on this too, no such ridge on mine

Mine had the same indentation, front too. Looked like they put the emblems on when the paint wasn’t yet cured. . I had the back piece repainted
Agree.....it looks like the paint hadn’t hardened enough before the production line applied the OEM Kia badging.

Cutting that tape so that it’s not visible behind here I think isn’t worth the effort, the tape itself isn’t cheap, the badge not much more so. If you trust yourself to scribe the tape and cut it to shape by all means, go for it, but it's obviously not going to be as simple as cutting it to length and plastering it to the back of the car. The tape comes double sided, one side sticky, and one side to peel off.

You'll need to apply the sticky side to the back of the stinger badge, then cut the sticky side with an xacto knife, the blade will stick to the tape as you cut, be careful not to cut the plastic badge, but cut very close so that the tape isn't visible once applied to the car, as you can see from the picture the OEM badge adhesive is recessed by about 1mm around the edge, but after cutting it'll be right up to the edge.

Personally, I don't think it'll turn out well and you'll end up ordering a new badge anyway ;)

You are right. I removed and reinstalled the big "Stinger" script on mine last year. It wasn't difficult but I was a PITA. But with patience it's doable.

You can buy the new badge but in Australia its $98. Too expensive.
Why not do a rubbing of the back of the badge on paper with a pencil then stick to tape and cut out, might be an easy way?

Holy crap, I would probably leave because of the spiders, but would definitely leave because of the cost of badges.

Problem is that one side of that tape is always sticky, you have to stick it to something as soon as it comes off the roll, so really the only option is to stick it to the badge first, then cut it out around the badge.

Sounds messy

Welp, went to go do it and my stinger badge is in two peices now so I have no other choice to order one lmao. Probably gonna order that and the vintage K badge to replace the big stinger emblem

You don't want both the small and the large Stinger on there at the same time?

The large badge is in 2 pieces , its not broken , try spray adhesive , just spray the bottom from directly above so you dont get over spray on the sides of the letters ............good luck

No, I'm gonna put the stock stinger emblem back on on the left corner and then just replaced the Kia badge with the K badge

I'm thinking about just getting mine repainted as well... about how much did it cost for you to get yours done?
