I don't think anything special is required, especially since 95%+ of Stinger owners don't frequent this forum and wouldn't know what it meant.
There are few enough of us out there, that a simple wave has worked for me. However, twice this past summer, I waved at other Stinger drivers only to get a confused look in return. Took me a couple of seconds each time for it to register that I was in my Solstice, not my Stinger those days. Yup, I felt a little foolish...
Someone who thinks whatever he says is by definition correct and that we are all obligated to listen to him and honor his opinion and defend it to the death--or else be killed.
Flash lights, thumbs up, ricer fly by are usually my go to moves. Once encountered another ceramic silver owner, pulled up next to her and asked her what kind of car it was?!
Just tonight there was a white Stinger parked at a local bar and then a silver one drove by while I was sitting at the opposite light, it was too dark for the other guy to see me.
I have experienced this negativity. Most recently (few months back), I was coming up to a red light and so was a pickup pulling a utility trailer; I was in the left lane, he was in the right: the light went green and we both hopped on it, if you can believe it. I nipped in front by just barely having enough room to go out and around the vehicle in front of me, which wasn't even moving yet. My maneuver annoyed the snot out of that pickup driver and he got on the horn: it's not as if I had interrupted his progress in the least, I mean seriously, I was already ahead of him and coasting faster when I twisted the steering wheel and accelerated to get into the "hole". About a mile up the road I got into the left turn lane. He coasted up to the red light and stopped and berated me with language and gestures out his open window. The light turned green and I deepened his impression of me by laying on my horn with creative "punctuation". So, I'm sure that his first and second impression of Stinger drivers is exactly equal to BMW drivers. Heh! He probably thought my Stinger was a BMW.
(edit: and an added detail, the car in front of me turned left, then immediately pulled over to the right shoulder to get out of my way: doubtlessly, s/he was sure my honking like an a**hole was meant for him/her; so, I created impressions of the mentality of Stinger/BMW drivers in at least two people on that single occasion)
