What does the Kia Stinger need for the second generation?

I am holding off buying a stinger for right now, I would like to see some of these features first.

-Larger center infotainment screen
-Digital gauge cluster
-Active exhaust system with a button to make exhaust louder like in some Porsche and AMG cars
-D-AWD
-LSD with AWD
-Full panoramic roof
-Full access UVO app with features like remote start, preset climate controls, lock/unlock

I suggest that you start harassing, er, I mean hounding Kia through social media outlets and their corporate contact page with your requests. They need to hear it from more enthusiasts who would buy the GT2 now if only they would stop gimping the car. :)

Honestly the rear diff is so easy (swap in the carrier from the G70 or GTS) that it isn't a dealbreaker for me... but the lack of UVO Link is a deal breaker. All of their stated competition offer equivalent functionality, and ffs, even Subaru's overpriced hot rod econobox (STI) offers remote lock/unlock and vehicle locator.

Might be waiting awhile.

A lift kit as a must have, shifter paddles that stay on the column and not on the wheel, neat rear spoiler, functional vents, all gold wheel option like on a 22B.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I’ve got a Seltos GT line with 10.25 inch screen, and to be honest, I prefer the smaller one in my Stinger. The Stinger is a driving car, the Seltos is like driving a phone. Once the novelty wears off, you don’t pay any attention to the larger screen in the Seltos. Also, I’d prefer the analog dash also, saw a huge digital dash in an AMG recently, looked tacky.

I personally do like the digital dash, but I would still be satisfied if they left a large analog tachometer in the center like Porsche.

Would you recommend the Seltos??

A lift kit? For speed bumps or for a Stinger Ute?

I want a lift kit to fit my 40” mud-bogging tires, a diesel-smoke-belching-louder-than-an F16 exhaust, at least 8 cylinders and a gun rack.

Opps, sorry, I’d just look like the rest of the SUVs and trucks around here.

Another USB port for charging inside the console.
Evolutionary, not revolutionary, styling update. Please don't make it look crazy like the new Optima.

Im a simple man, I love an object I have the money I buy... Life is short if you have the means just buy it, ain't gonna wait to buy this gorgeous sports grand turismo cuz is lacking butt massage. ;)

Digital dash, AWD w/LSD, and a harder stock launch. Maybe a larger screen and make UVO useful. Kia has the hardware in other cars to make this happen already.

Also, the GT needs to get to or over 400 stock, with torque approaching 400 as well with the same powerband. All of this may put the car firmly into the 50s, but it would make every car that isn't an AMG, Audi RS or M car sweat and some of those at this point would get challenged as well.

Yes, but if buying the GT, I’d consider the Cerato GT for less.
No I was looking at the Sport Plus. The 2 litre NA motor with the CVT is supposed to be good combo. Not to mention about $9000 cheaper than the GT.
Plus I have my Stinger to go fast in.

No gen II.

Surprised I haven't seen this one yet (unless I missed it), but...

6 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION on a GT2 AWD. All cars should have 3 pedals.

Hyundai/Kia mated it to the 2.0T (G70) already, so they have the know how.

Honestly, this is the only thing that has me looking to trade the Stinger right now.

Do you at least use the paddles?

My biggest gripe is definitely the lack of UVO connectivity here in the states. So my list would be:

  • UVO Connectivity for remote start controls, etc.
  • Column mounted shift paddles
  • LSD for all models
  • Automatic up/down for all windows. My cheap VW Passat had this.
  • Functional hood vents, I don't want them to just remove the fake ones I like the look, it's different.
  • Built in security cam, at least for the front of the car for driving.
  • Full digital gauge cluster with their new blind spot monitoring cameras that appear in the cluster would be nice.
  • Updates to the HUD to include things like the turn signals.
  • Bigger infotainment screen, doesn't have to be huge but it needs to be a little better than it is now IMO.
This is just a wish list for me, by no means are these things I'm demanding, or think they absolutely have to have. Besides the remote start and all that, for a halo car this is woefully lacking.
